To Whom It May Concern:

The events described by Mr. [redacted] are not based on facts and are without merit. Mr. [redacted] contacted our company inquiring about web hosting...

and web update charges for his online dating website.  He apparently was unhappy with his current service provider and wanted to change.
I explained the charges related to those services and told him that normally we require hosting clients to sign a one-year commitment. He asked if he could do month-to-month, I agreed. We explained to him what we needed to execute the transfer from the current server to our server and once he supplied that to us we executed the transfer. It required our agency contacting the former web hosting company because Mr. [redacted] did not have the correct passwords and information. We did not bill him for any of the labor or time associated with transferring the website.
Once the website was uploaded to our server we charged him the $50 monthly fee and continued to host the website. He then requested several web updates, when we told him the turn around time and cost associated with it he became angry and complained about the cost. He wanted these updates done immediately and didn’t want to pay a standard industry rate for the service.
We explained that we were very busy with other projects and clients and would try to fit in his updates, but the price was non-negotiable.  He then started calling outside of normal business hours (6 am, 10 pm, etc.) on our personal cell phones to see when the updates would be made, again he was unwilling to pay for them.
My partner e-mailed on him stating that we would not be able to complete those updates that he requested and were only interested in hosting his website, as that was the only service for which he seemed willing to pay. At 10:45 pm on Friday, November 7, [redacted] he called my cell phone from a blocked number and started screaming and using profanity, apparently he was unhappy that we weren’t willing to work for free.  I reminded him that he knew what our fees were when he engaged our hosting services in October. I told him that he due to the hour I was no longer willing to discuss the issue with him but would be happy to talk to him on Monday during normal business hours (9-5). He then threatened to come to our office and “Kick[redacted]”. I ended the conversation and sent a follow up e-mail telling him that we were terminating his web hosting agreement immediately and would need to find a new service by the end of the service month and we would transfer his website within three business days of him providing us with the new hosting information.  He has sent borderline threatening emails and our landlord has banned him from our building.
The transfers were made within the promised time frame and his requested “desired outcome” was already in the process of being completed when he made the complaint with the Revdex.com.  Long story short, he paid for a month of hosting service and received a month of hosting service.  He did not terminate services with our agency; we terminated our contract with him as a client.
Feel free to contact me directly at [redacted] or by e-mail if you have any other questions. Thanks!
