He believes his work is up to "industry standard." I did not pay for concrete work that is consistently failing to hold up, and needing consistent patching, nor did I pay for a concrete paint to be applied to the work which conceals improperly dried (concrete burned) slabs which scratches, scuffs, and has pealed offHe left my houseon Saturdaysaying he needed arbitration to further assist the issueI want to know whether these problems are due to a defective product from a company which ironically has since ceased operation Flatline Concrete in El Cajon, or was it his employers (concrete finishers) that did a substandard jobA second attachment I am providing you with sir is a second agreement I wrote up to present Mr [redacted] with which he wasn't willing to look at seeings if he was going to cancel on us a third timeAt this point, I just want the $(concrete construction portion of our original contract) returned to me, and JLC to remove the work they did, or pay for the demo (removal) portion of a new agreement with another Revdex.com accredited concrete companyI have lost confidence and trust in JLC completelyThank you for time and assistance in handling this case Mr [redacted] .Respectfully,Mr [redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Good day sir, I see it’s taken Mr. [redacted] a month to reply to my 12/18 submittal. He’s seems to want to blame the soil, yet I have a new driveway and sidewalk that was poured to meet ADA specifications in the same soil with no problems which was poured less than a month earlier. I feel Mr. [redacted] knowing inclement weather was approaching should of used professional best judgment and postponed the pour. Either way he’s broken an agreement signed by both parties to remove and repour which the Revdex.com has a copy of. Most recently the the second coating concrete paint/ sealer is flaking off as if it isn’t adhering to the slabs. He’s asking for arbitration.  I just want my money back for the concrete/ forming/ finishing portion of this project $6380, and removal of existing pads.I hope you will honor his request promptly. I have numerous pics of the status of the concrete pads I can submit to you. I’d like yourself or a field agent to come see flaws in person if possible. Thank you again for working with me on this claim. My family greatly appreciates it.
[redacted]

To Whom it May Concern:Since pouring concrete in the front and backyards of the [redacted] residence 2017 as series of complications began to occur within weeks following The concrete slabs were chipping/breaking off at the surface as well as discolored. In July of 2017, I had Mr. [redacted]. [redacted] of...

[redacted] patch 20+ concrete blemishes, apply two coats of grey concrete coloring coating coats of water based acrylic sealer to bring a Uniform aesthetic appear discolored pads. I believed this would correct the discolored and broke circular pods. Two months have passed since Mr. [redacted]'s work and 5+ surface chips/Breaks have appeared again, and the grey coating is bleaching out in blotch and striation patterns, as well as delaminating (peeling off the pads). It is September 07, cond for the second time I am having Mr. [redacted] patch, reapply color coat, and seal he compromised concrete pads. Following this third procedure: I [redacted] will remove existing concrete pads in the front and backyard of the [redacted] residence, and repour n?w concrete pads at no expense fo the [redacted]'s if the original concrete pas chip/break and orif the concrete color coating continues to fail to adhere to the original concrete pads.Respectfully [redacted], Owner of [redacted] Landscape Construction

My company installed landscape and concrete work for [redacted], the concrete was poured in December of 2016, it has rained the night before the pour, the clay soil in this section of Imperial Beach retained water so that moisture continued to come to the surface which required added trowel finishing this cause some flaking at first it was about 25 flakes. I Hired [redacted] ( a concrete  surface expert) to seal and repair the area some 30 days later 6 more lakes appeared. [redacted] returned and re applied bonder and sealer months later 2 small flakes less than a dim size. Appeared ( 1 front 1 rear). The owner wants us to jackhammer all the concrete and install new. I feel the problem has been corrected. The small flakes could be fixed like before. The job meets standards of the industry. I want to apply arbitration per our our contact and will abide by arbitrators findings.

I am attaching the 11/29/17 message containing Mr. [redacted] written statement agreeing to remove and repour the concrete work if we had any further problems which we've had. Since notifying him he's scheduled twice to remove and repour, and failed to show on the dates he committed too for the following reasons: 1) His work truck was in the shop 2) His finisher/foreman had a medical emergency/injury 3) He did not have the funds to redo our job, and had to finish his current project to begin ours. He called me last Thursday 12/14 after I left a message to confirm he was going to begin today 12/18. He said he needed to come down and see the damage himself. On Saturday the 18thafter arriving a half hour late I should him two more surface breaks in two different concrete circles, and he began to say what he's told me many times over when the problems began to occur that, "These damages didn't warrant the removal of all concrete and do the job over." I did not pay for concrete work that is consistently failing to hold up, and needing consistent patching, nor did I pay for a concrete paint to be applied to the work which conceals improperly dried (concrete burned) slabs which scratches, scuffs, and has pealed off. He left my houseon Saturdaysaying he needed arbitration to further assist the issue. I want to know whether these problems are due to a defective product from a company which ironically has since ceased operation Flatline Concrete in El Cajon, or was it his employers (concrete finishers) that did a substandard job. A second attachment I am providing you with sir is a second agreement I wrote up to present Mr. [redacted] with which he wasn't willing to look at seeings if he was going to cancel on us a third time. At this point, I just want the $6380 (concrete construction portion of our original contract) returned to me, and JLC to remove the work they did, or pay for the demo (removal) portion of a new agreement with another Revdex.com accredited concrete company. I have lost confidence and trust in JLC completely. Thank you for time and assistance in handling this case Mr. [redacted].Respectfully,Mr. [redacted]
