To whom it may concern, The 1994 Isuzu Rodeo that [redacted] brought to us was serviced on the morning of 2-8-2017, as stated on Invoice #[redacted]. She had a High Mileage oil change, a new air filter, top off antifreeze, change one light and replace a serpentine engine belt for a total of $159.25. [redacted]’s...

complaint is that she thinks we overfilled her engine causing the valve covers to start leaking. Invoice #[redacted] shows that we added 5.5 quarts of oil to the motor. The manufacturer shows a fill capacity of 5.5 quarts. I watched the video surveillance and saw that we used our yellow oil jug to add the High Mileage oil. The yellow jug can only hold a maximum of 5.5 quarts when completely filled and I saw that we only added 1 jug of oil to the motor. Therefore, we did not overfill the motor. In regard to the motor oil leaks, the invoice documents that the leaks were a pre-existing condition before we initiated the service. The Service Comment section of the invoice states: “Oil level overfull on arrival, Battery corrosion, Customer will check tires in 7 days, Excessive oil leak and Transmission leak”. This shows that the leaks were not created by our service. Also, being that the motor was overfilled with oil on arrival and the service on 2-8-2017 was the first and only service at our shop, we do not know how long [redacted] was driving her vehicle with an overfilled motor.
