input.  This item and many like it are sized by the manufacturer, but we find that they run small.  Since eBay and Amazon do not allow secondary size types (eBay in particular only allows "regular" or "big and tall") to be referenced as size types, our only outlet is to include details in the description.  This item includes the description "runs small" with a recommendation that the buyer size up.  This information is visible to the buyer before purchase, it was not just a footnote provided after contacting as the buyer suggests.  We offer free shipping but not free returns, but are constantly being expected to pay return shipping on items for details--such as the size run--that are included in the description. These days an ever-increasing amount of clothing and other purchases are made online, and while I certainly agree with the "customer is always right" concept in spirit, in practice issues like this result in our company paying shipping both ways so that a buyer can try on an item.  An item that, had they read the provided description and acted on it, may in fact have suited their needs. Thank you in advance for taking the time to hear me out, and for any reply received.  I would be interested in hearing your take on the situation and what resolution you would have recommended or action you would have taken had we not already issued the refund.
