Wee Watch Licensed Home Child Care

I registered my child with this agency two weeks ago. After which, I received an email informing me that my Care Provider would be on vacation for the following two weeks and to let the agency know if I needed back up care for this period. I spoke to our Provider prior to this and I had already made other arrangements for that time. Today, Nicole G. informed me that I would have to pay $15 per day for the time the Care Provider is on vacation. Nicole then called me and said this was a result of me not using any back up Providers. When I questioned that I did not know that I was required to use a back up Provider and inquired if there was any other Providers in the Stouffville area, Nicole confirmed that there was not and suggested further areas that were not feasible. Also, I chose the Provider that we have based on a few interviews, playtimes with my child to ensure she was safe and happy and I am not comfortable leaving her with someone that I do not know, even if they are affiliated with the agency. When I told her this and I felt that it was not acceptable. Then the reason changed to the amount is to cover the overhead costs of the company. When I again questioned this, I was told this is the way things are and I should have paid more attention to the fine print. I tried my best to explain my position to Nicole, helping her to understand that I am a new customer and I have only used their service twice and this is not what I signed up for, I did not receive the understanding and care that this agency should be providing for both parents and children. Instead of working with me to find a viable solution, the problem was left for me to solve on my own. There was no consideration, no attempt to find a solution and I feel like I was treated as an insignificant problem that did not require further assistance or attention.

This is so disappointing as a new mother and as a new customer of this service. What began as an exciting experience and further exposure for my child, turned out to be utter and complete dissatisfaction from the customer service, to the communication, to the agency.
