Review: We went to trade in our premium 2009 audi s-line q7 tdi suv. We purchased this suv from them 2 year ago for 42,000 dollars. It has 73,000 miles, 27,000miles of warranty left, brand new tires and a 3m surface protectant, new rear brakes, 1 year old front brakes. On the down side it has a carfax. Weeks pre owned started/ended negotiations at $24,000 dollars. Next we went to their parent company to look at a new car, thinking maybe there is some mistake, because kelley blue book ranged from $29,350 to $32,750 for our suv. To our surprise, the best we could get from them was $25,000 in trade. After meeting with the manager [redacted], and some very uncomfortable negotiations. the manager told us people buy $90,000 audi's and after 75,00 miles expect to get only $18,000 dollars in trade. We as consumers were told that a diesel vehicle will hold much better re-sale/ trade value, and being a premium s-line will make trade in even better. Today 8/13/13 we were told by the manager of Danbury audi that is not the case, high end dependable diesel vehicles are almost worthless to them especially with 73,00 miles. This car will be sent to the wholesalers and they will be lucky to get their money back out of it. If we took the deal they offered, we would have only $2000 dollars of equity to put back into a new car deal(a loss of $17,000 in 2 years). We the scanlons left the dealership humiliated, let down, and feeling as if we had been manipulated by some very dishonest people. We would also like to note that when we went to get new tires for the suv, it was brought to our attention that weeks pre-owned audi had sold it with the wrong size tires(documented, not factory specification size), mavis tire told us that the speedometer could be reading improperly, that there could be other safety issues, roll over) We put the right size tires on car immediately (no reimbursement offered towards the new tires or compensation for endangering the lives of our family). Not even an apology. lawsuit?

Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation)

We wish that audi of america would publicly apologize for their business practices, being exercised by this dealership(new and used, because they are the same company). We would also like reimbursement for the money we put into this suv(deposit, original trade equity, payments to date, and all interest paid). Then we would like proper compensation for selling us a certified pre-owned audi with the wrong size tires(not factory specifications), compensation for endangering our family's lives.

This customer is upset with his car's appraised value, we did nothing to warrant this attack other than give him fair market trade value. Also this is the very first time tires were brought to anyone's attention. We believe his complaint to be unjustified and at this time find no resolve to his complaint
