Weeks Tree Service

Review: When contacted, the owner of Weeks Tree Service, did come to my property to provide an estimate for the removal of a tree. He provided the written estimate to me in June 2013. Upon receipt of the written estimate I notified him that I would be paying for a part of the services with gift certificates that I already purchased. When I contacted [redacted] (Owner of Week Tree Service) by phone to schedule a time for the work to be complete, he told me he could not commit to a particular timeframe due to a backlog of work. My wife and I both tried contacting the business by phone and through voicemail messages on several occassions over the next few months. However, we were never able to reach anyone and none of our messages were returned. Note that we called the same number [redacted] for the follow-ups as we had called successfully for the initial estimate.

I can only speculate that Paul is not returning calls since a portion of the work will not be paid for in cash, but rather through pre-purchased gift certificates. Regardless, neither he, nor anyone from his company has been willing to return our calles.Desired Settlement: We have significant money ($250) already invested in the gift certificates for his company and need him to honor his estimate of $350 to complete this work. Ultimately, we just want him to schedule a time to do the work and finish the work for the agreed upon amount.

I did estimate this job in June After much negotiation downward in price and questions from [redacted], there was never mention of any gift certificate at this time. I did have a very large amount of work all summer; therefore I was able to pick and choose which jobs I did, choosing without having to accept negotiated lower price jobs, even after estimates have been given. I had decided in July I would not be able to do this job for $350 so never contacted them or signed any contract.
