WE LIVED IN PROPERTY *** STERLING,VA *** FOR A LITTLE OVER A YEAR. IN THAT TIME MULIPLE TIMES THE PLUMBING WOULD OVERFLOW OUT OF THE WALL BEHIND THE WASHING MACHINE AND FROM THE SINK. WHEN WE CALLED THE PROPERTY MANAGMENT ABOUT THE WATER ISSUE, THEY WOULD EITHER IGNORE ME, SAYING ITS NOT A MAJOR ISSUE, NOT SENDING SOMEONE TO REPAIR OR LOOK AT IT FOR 2 WEEKS AT A TIME. THIS HAPPENED 6 TIMES IN THE TIME LIVING THERE.
AFTER THE 6TH TIME I HAD TO CONVINCE SOMEONE TO COME OUT TO LOOK AT THE WALL BEHIND THE WASHING MACHINE, BECAUSE IT WAS CAVING IN JUST BY BEING TOUCHED. WHEN THEY CAME TO REPAIR IT THEY JUST COVERED IT WITH SPACKLE. WHEN I ASKED "WON'T THERE BE A MOLD ISSUE NOW?" I WAS TOLD THAT THE SPAKLE NEUTRUIZES THE MOLD...

ALSO THIS PROPERTY HAS A WOODSTOVE IN IT. WHEN WE MOVED IN, WE REQUEST IT BE INSPECTED SO WE DON'T HAVE A FIRE HAZARD ON OUR HANDS WHEN USING IT. THEY TOLD US IT WAS INSPECTED AND GOOD TO GO. WHEN MOVING OUT WE WERE TOLD WE NEED TO HAVE THE WOODSTOVE CLEANED AND INSPECTED. THE INSPECTOR SAID THE STOVE IS NOT SAFE TO USE AND IS A FIRE HAZARD. THAT HES SUPRISED WE WERE NOT KILLED OR INJURIED IN THIS HOUSE.I HAVE THE RECEIPT IF YOU NEED PROOF AND THE COMPANY TO CONTACT.

Aureus Property Management has been terrible to deal with throughout our one year lease. During the property walkthrough, we discovered several discrepancies (appliances not working, house not clean). We moved in but it took several weeks to get all the repairs done. Now we have been living with a flood-damaged basement for three months and the company is just now getting around to fixing it so that they can show the property to prospective tenants. No concern that we have been living with the issue for several months. Terrible customer service by Mary E.

Dealing with Shannon R of Aureus Property Management has been a nightmare. Over the course of my year as a tenant of the property at ***, Washington DC ***, they have been non-respondent to tenant inquiries, did not offer to reimburse tenants for cockroach poison due to infestation, neglected essential repairs demanded by the DCRA (we raised the issue of the exposed electric meter over a year ago- they put a plastic bag over it... talk about unsafe!).

To top it off, the company is now withholding $475 from our security deposit. They are charging $100 for "landscaping" charges, although it is clear that no such services have been performed (if they were performed, I would love to see the Revdex.com profile for the landscaping company that they hired..).

Next, despite a THOROUGH cleaning by my roommates and I before vacating the premises and doing a walk-through with Shannon, she now sees fit six weeks after the fact to tack on a $375 "general cleaning" charge. The charge comes six weeks after the tenants have been gone, and three weeks AFTER a full paint job was billed for inside the home... Obviously the residence will need to be cleaned after a crew of painters comes in! We should not be liable for this charge!

I have had open service requests since Dec 2016 - 5 months of unresolved repairs. They have sent someone out 3 times "to take measurements and to see the exact issue"
Dishwasher started leaking 3 weeks ago. Reported it then - still not resolved, and as of now no action plan in place.
