[redacted], CEO/President

Weight Watchers International, Inc. [redacted]

New York, NY [redacted] Dear President, [redacted]:

Today, I picked up the Sept/Oct 2011 Weight Watcher’s magazine and saw you, [redacted], President and CEO of Weight Watchers International. I am so glad to learn that there is an International Weight Watcher’s authority that I can appeal to. I have been feeling despondent, depressed and victimized for more than 9 months, after Weight Watchers of Philadelphia (WW/P) refused to return my Fast Passpayments, which were taken from my personal bank account, after the subscription was canceled.

I Joined WW/P, as a Fast Pass subscriber in March 2010; and

canceled my Fast Pass, around June 2010, because I wanted to revert to paying cash for my visits. I was having some personal proble**, and did not know how long I would be in the area, or how long I would be able to continue attending my Weight Watcher’s (WW) sessions. My cancellation was done on the computer. I tried to telephone WW to terminate the Fast Pass, but I was told by the person who answered the phone, that I had to cancel using the computer.

I terminated the Cash Pass subscription around June, 2010, and when I attended my 6/26/10 WW meeting, I handed the receptionist my pocket guide attendance card and a cash payment. The receptionist informed me that they could not take cash payment, because myFast Pass subscription was still active. I informed the receptionist that I terminated the Fast Pass, and the receptionist informed me that the subscription was valid until 7/16/10, and could not be terminated in the middle of the month. July 8th 2010 was my last visit to WW. I had to contend with some urgent personal issues. I left with the expectation that my termination was effective no later than 7/16/10.

In December of 2010, I heard about the new WW Points program, and was very impressed by it, so I decided to rejoin Weight Watchers ([redacted]. PA- site). My personal issues had gotten better, and I needed to try and get healthy again. When I attended the meeting on12/30/10, I completed the enrollment, paperwork and attempted to pay cash for the class. To my surprise the WW receptionist stated that she could enroll me in the program, but she could not take cash payment, because a Fast Pass

I was so shocked; I spoke to the W/W instructor, and she told me not to worry. She instructed me to complete the enrollment process for the Points Plus program; and she told me to contact [redacted] at Weight Watchers of Phila., Inc., [redacted], PA; telephone # [redacted] X [redacted] and **. [redacted] would take care of the problem.

I left the meeting feeling reassured that the Fast Pass error would be corrected. I communicated with **. [redacted] by phone, and then she asked me to correspond with her by e-mail, so I did. **. [redacted] informed me that the Fast Pass subscription could not be stopped until the Fast Pass expiration date of 01/16/11. I did not understand why WW/P could not go in and immediately stop the payments, since it was their error for not terminating it by July 17, 2010. I wanted to keep a positive mind set, so I was determine to work with the staff at WW of Phila. I attended my next meeting on 01/6/11, and found out that the Fast Pass was still active. I contacted **. [redacted] to find out if there was any resolve to the Fast Pass situation, and she was a little vague, but she stated she was working on it. I sent her all of the verifications that she requested.

On Thursday, Jan 13, 2011 I received an e-mail from **. [redacted] stating that “once you are charged thru Fast Passthere can be no refund”. That WW/P e-mail made no sense to me. WW/P took my money after I followed their instructions on cancelling the Fast Past on line, and I followed the instructions that I was given by their personnel at the weekly meetings.

I was so depressed, confused and so angry when I received that e-mail. I finallyrecognized that WW/P did not have my best interest at heart. I felt I could no longer believe in the Weight Watcher’s name or its philosophy. I wanted nothing to do with a company that exhibited “ponzi-like” values. I refused to continue with the new program, because I no longer trusted in the integrity or name of Weight Watchers.

Not only did they refuse to refund my money, which they took out of my account without my permission, they charged me for another month. I just cried and cried. I did not know what to do, so I tried calling to speak to a higher authority at the WW/PhiladelphiaOffice, but no one would return my calls.

In despair, I wrote [redacted] by e-mail and begged for my

money, and expressed to her my confusion. [redacted] sent me an e-mail, and asked me to put theFast Pass incident in writing. I was so upset, because they had all of the information regarding the incident; they had the computer generated cancellation notice and they had bank verification proving that the money was taken from my personal bank account.

At this point, I felt they were playing with me, but I obliged them by writing a brief description of what happen. I waited for some time, but no one from WW/P contacted me. I called [redacted] on several occasions and wrote her asking if there had been any outcome regarding my writing a brief description of what happen.

[redacted] stated that management and the accounting department at WW/Phila. were reviewing the situation, and that she had no authority to determine the out-come.

Finally, on March 29, 2011 Weight Watcher of Philadelphia Inc. sent an e-mail to inform me that they would be denying my request for a refund of the Fast Passpayments that were taken out of my account, after I terminated/cancelled the subscription. I called [redacted] and asked for a formal letter in writing, regarding the denial of my refund. I received the denial in writing from a [redacted], Vice President of Finance. I tried to call him to discuss his decision, but he refused to speak to me. He never returned my calls. I later found out that the [redacted]’s are the owners of WW/of Phila. I felt I did not have a chance; the cards were stacked against me.

I hope you can help me; I have been so depressed and despondent, about this situation. I feel violated and victimized. I also miss the freedom of being part of the WeightWatcher’s community. What I thought to be an error that would be resolved in a fair manner, turned out to be a very disappointing experience.

I have enclosed the Fast Passcomputer generated cancellation, pertinent e-mails from **.[redacted], my WW attendance card pages and the letter from [redacted]. I just want WW/P to give me what they took from me without my permission.

Thank you President, [redacted]; if you need additional information, please don’thesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

11/10/13

Note to Revdex.com:

The above was a letter sent to the Weight Watchers International, President/CEO [redacted], return receipt; they responded by telling me that they had no jurisdiction over Philadelphia’s franchise (Weight Watchers of Philadelphia), and that I should refer back to the Philadelphia Franchise. I called and e-mailed **. [redacted] in an attempt to get a meeting with [redacted], owner of the Philadelphia franchise, but I was only given the run around. They replied: [redacted] is out of town: [redacted] is in meetings; [redacted]’s schedule is booked. I became depressed and stopped trying, until, today when I found out about your services. I have a number of e-mail correspondences between Weight Watchers of Philadelphia, and myself, requesting my money over the years. I hope you can help me get my money from these powerful and very uncooperative people.Desired Settlement: I want my back.
