Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.] I had agreed to have Weirton Rental pickup the tractor again after an incredibly stressful and frustrating call Only after being threatened to be taken to court did I finally agree to it Later that evening after having time to think and talking with my wife we decided it wouldn't be a good idea to have thempick it up On the Monday they were scheduled to pick it up they called my wife to see if we were ready for pick up When she talked to them they stated they hadn't sent anyone out yet as you claim in your reply Who would send someone out to someone's house to pick something up without first calling to make sure they are home? Also my wife did not state that you should take us to court one of your employees once again threatened to take us to court when they calledI've never not paid a bill in my life Stating that we are simply trying to avoid paying the bill is an incredibly rude and baseless accusation and is just further demonstration of your lack of tact and proper business etiquette The bill is only $and I would have gladly paid it if the work had been done but the tractor never worked I'm sure even "certified" mechanics make mistakes and in this case it was not repaired properly We have neighbors who were witnesses and will testify it never worked right My neighbor [redacted] was mowing his grass while I tried using ours I wasn't even able to finish the front yard before it started stalling out and wouldn't turn back overI believe it is only fair to pay for proper work done The tractor was taken in because it would stall out and not run and that is exactly what it is still doing As for the offer to pick it up, I don't see any reason we should trust you to work on our tractor again It wasn't repaired properly and communication between yourself and your customers is terrible I have never dealt with such a poorly run company in my entire life Instead of admitting your mechanic might have made a mistake you try and blame your customer and accuse them of trying to get out of paying a bill You have shown your character by lying in your last reply stating you sent someone to the house when you didn't and trying to twist around your employees threat to take us to court You also continue to claim you left the key with us when it was taken at pickup We always left the key in the ignition since the tractor was kept in the garage You have done nothing to give us any kind of faith that you would give an honest attempt at further diagnostic of our tractor Without even looking at it you state "if it is a new problem like I suspect then she would be responsible for further repairs." Why should wetrust you to look at our tractor again when it wasn't repaired correctly in the first place? How can we trust you not to make up some other repair work that needs done and tack that on to the bill? Regards, [redacted]

company response

To whom it may concern, I'm writing this letter in regards to the letter I received with an ID [redacted]. I got a phone call from Mrs. [redacted]'s Mother, asking for us to pick up, tune-up and repair her daughter's tractor. On 04-24-2015 her tractor was picked up with no key, at a cost of $25.00 for...

delivery, and our standard diagnosis fee of $65.00. Upon further inspection of the [redacted] tractor, our Certified Mechanic determined the tractor's Stator was defective. A tune-up which was requested was performed, and the stator was ordered. Unfortunately the part was backordered and took longer than normal to come in. While we were waiting for the part I spoke with Mrs. [redacted] on two different occasions letting her know the part was ordered and as soon as it arrived we would repair and return the tractor back to her. On 05-29-2015 the stator arrived, was installed, and was returned to their house with no key, with the promise of future payment. No payment was made, and only upon calling at the end of July, to ask about payment, was I advised the tractor was no longer working. I advised Mrs. [redacted]'s husband that we would pick up and check over the tractor at no cost to them, and they would only be charged if a different problem was the reason the tractor wasn't working. He said this would be fine. We sent a driver to pick up the tractor and no one answered at the door. Mrs. [redacted] later that day called and said she would not pay her bill and that I should take her to court. My Mechanics are certified, and I stand behind their work. I believe this is a case that she doesn't want to pay her bill, so she is trying to put the blame on us. I tried to fix the situation, but she would rather try to avoid paying instead. The tractor was not here for three months like they stated in their complaint, it was five weeks, mostly due to the part being backordered. We placed $88.10 in new parts into Mrs. [redacted]'s tractor, and the $65.00 diagnostic fee was changed into labor for the work performed. The total bill was for $180.10 plus tax, she paid $90.00. Leaving Mrs. [redacted] a balance due of $100.91 for repairs. I believe it is only fair for Mrs. [redacted] to pay the balance due. My offer to pick up and check her tractor out still stands. If it is a new problem like I suspect then she would be responsible for further repairs.  Enclosed is an original time stamped work order after receiving the tractor, and a time stamped invoice before we delivered it back to Mrs. [redacted].

I had agreed to have Weirton Rental pickup the tractor again after an incredibly stressful and frustrating call.  Only after being threatened to be taken to court did I finally agree to it.  Later that evening after having time to think and talking with my wife we decided it wouldn't be a good idea to have thempick it up.  On the Monday they were scheduled to pick it up they called my wife to see if we were ready for pick up.  When she talked to them they stated they hadn't sent anyone out yet as you claim in your reply.  Who would send someone out to someone's house to pick something up without first calling to make sure they are home?  Also my wife did not state that you should take us to court one of your employees once again threatened to take us to court when they called. I've never not paid a bill in my life.   Stating that we are simply trying to avoid paying the bill is an incredibly rude and baseless accusation and is just further demonstration of your lack of tact and proper business etiquette.  The bill is only $100 and I would have gladly paid it if the work had been done but the tractor never worked.   I'm sure even "certified" mechanics make mistakes and in this case it was not repaired properly.  We have neighbors who were witnesses and will testify it never worked right.  My neighbor [redacted] was mowing his grass while I tried using ours.  I wasn't even able to finish the front yard before it started stalling out and wouldn't turn back over. I believe it is only fair to pay for proper work done.  The tractor was taken in because it would stall out and not run and that is exactly what it is still doing.  As for the offer to pick it up, I don't see any reason we should trust you to work on our tractor again.  It wasn't repaired properly and communication between yourself and your customers is terrible.  I have never dealt with such a poorly run company in my entire life.  Instead of admitting your mechanic might have made a mistake you try and blame your customer and accuse them of trying to get out of paying a bill.  You have shown your character by lying in your last reply stating you sent someone to the house when you didn't and trying to twist around your employees threat to take us to court.  You also continue to claim you left the key with us when it was taken at pickup.  We always left the key in the ignition since the tractor was kept in the garage.   You have done nothing to give us any kind of faith that you would give an honest attempt at further diagnostic of our tractor.  Without even looking at it you state "if it is a new problem like I suspect then she would be responsible for further repairs."  Why should wetrust you to look at our tractor again when it wasn't repaired correctly in the first place?  How can we trust you not to make up some other false repair work that needs done and tack that on to the bill?  Regards,
