I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. MrW*** has had several attempts to try and resolve the water issues in our crawl space/basement area. We still have standing water in our crawl space/basement area and the issue has not been resolved. The LLR review board has not yet met to determine the action that will be taken. However, the LLR issued a report stating code violations that were sited upon their inspection. (See the attached LLR report). The LLR investigator, MrB***, has stated on numerous occasions that the pump installed by MrW*** is not a corrective fix.MrW*** has not corrected any of the violations in the LLR report, except raising the waterproofing level on the foundation of the house. He installed a basic sump pump in our crawl space/basement area and has it draining into our back yard (where water already stands when it rains from where it was not graded properly during the building process). This is causing erosion in our yard and additional standing water. We also have ditches from the irrigation lines that were installed before the closing of the house. These are a hazard because they are deep and long, which could cause someone to fall and/or hurt themselves. We have spoken with him several times trying to get him to fix these ditches and he never has. Not only is the sump pump a basic pump but there are no french drains installed in our crawl space/basement area. MrW*** attempted a band aid fix by building a "dam" out of plastic waterproofing. He dug a hole into the slope of the crawl space, placed plastic waterproofer in the hole, filled the hole with dirt, and created a water catch so the water would not get to the pump. This has caused water to now stand on the flat areas of our crawl space under the plastic waterproofer, allowing it no way to drain. In addition to the water standing in the crawl space/basement area, we now have mold growing on the floor joists of our house. This mold will cause rot and decay to the floor joists, as well as respiratory problems for our two small children if left untreated. However, treating the mold can not properly occur until the standing water issue is properly corrected.

was denied access and threatened with arrest if I did not leave his property in 25 seconds by the homeowner.April 2017 saw some unusual heavy flooding in Columbia and this area of South Spartanburg.I am ready willing and able to repair any issues with the home if there are defects or issues that are truly my responsibility.The French drain and pump system we installed with the check valve is the normal corrective action in this situation.The homeowners have wanted me to pay a third-party encapsulated all dry basement system from the beginning. By South Carolina law I am Allowed to take any corrective action needed for keeping their crawl space dry to building standards.Thank you for your patience until today please confirm receipt of this email.I have completed hundreds of homes in Spartanburg County and stand behind my work.
