I am in receipt of your letter regarding ID [redacted] I have to admit, I am completely surprised and very much disappointedThis is the fifth project we have done for the clients over the course of approximately ten yearsThat, alone, should speak volumes for the satisfaction by the clients regarding our workmanshipThe current project consisted of a three to three and one half month extensive renovation of a square foot vacant patio homePrior to the start of the project, I met with the clients many times at their convenience to assess the scope of the job and detail the work to be completedThe job entailed the selection of door hardware, paint colors, tile selections, faucets, flooring, and lighting to name a fewAll of those decisions made by the wife and the decorator were coordinated through meOnce the job began, the wife was my contact for 95% of the jobI worked closely with her and communicated with a decorator hired by the wifeI spent many, many hours meeting with the wife, at her convenience, along with numerous phone conversationsAt no time, during the construction of the project did the wife express any concerns whatsoever about any dissatisfaction with the progress, the material, or the workmanship of the jobI never encountered the husband on any of my frequent site reviewsThat is not to say he was never at the unit, only that he never spoke with me during the course of the renovation about any problems with the workmanshipThe agreement signed by both Welch Builders and the clients had several allowance items such as granite, lighting, etcAll invoices for those items were shown to them and agreed upon before proceeding with the installation of those itemsWhen the project was completed, the clients were so delighted with the performance of Welch Builders, the subcontractors and suppliers that they invited everyone to lunch one day to show their appreciationI am really disappointed to learn now of their dissatisfactionUpon completion of the entire project, all invoices regarding the allowance items and any others in questions were shared with the clients and their invoice was paid in fullAt that time, the only dissatisfaction was the cleanout of the brushes and rollers by the paintersThere was no damage resulting from the painters actions There were nine items compiled on a punch listSeven of those items were completed promptlyWe were never aware the blinds were to be reinstalled until the end of the projectThere was never any mention of that particular item in our many discussionsYes, hardware was misplaced as a result of this unknown itemThe soap caddy was just recently mentionedWe had full intentions of reinstalling the blinds and repairing the soap caddyBoth items have been remediedTypically, there is a day window to complete warranty itemsIt is unfortunate the husband contacted you within approximately days of review of the outstanding itemsAs stated previously, seven items were completed immediately and parts were ordered for the other two items and repairs were completed February , as evidenced by the enclosed picturesI appreciate the clients continued business and am very sorry for the stress of the situationI have fulfilled all obligations on previous jobs and have done so on this job alsoI am very proud of the work we have done for them and believed they were also very proud of their unit and pleased with the outcomeSincerely, [redacted] ***
