This response concerns the completely fictional complaint made by [redacted]. On 12-12-17 our company Welch's Appliances sold [redacted] a dryer, it was delivered the next day 12-13-17. On the day of delivery we received a call from [redacted] stating that the dryer door kept popping open....

All appliances sold come with a 6 month parts and labor warranty just in case something like this happens. I was very apologetic and not at anytime did I threaten or state that I was unwilling to honor the warranty. We scheduled a service for the very next day 12-14-17 between 11-1.. On the morning of 12-14-17 we received another call from [redacted], this time saying the dryer was taking too long to dry the clothes. She requested a return call from the manager, I the manager was not present at the time of the call. Upon arriving to the shop I received the message to call [redacted]. I did not get the chance, she called shortly after I arrived. I could tell she was upset and kept repeating over and over you guys are trying to rip me off, you couldn't even call me back. ( remember we already have a service call scheduled for that day 11-1 ). I could not get a word in edgewise, she did not give me the chance to talk at all. At a certain point I did say Ma'am could you please calm down. Apparently that is insulting your customers because that is what she accused me of doing after making that statement. After what seemed like an eternity of her yelling and calling ME several unpleasant names I had had enough, I told her I was going to hang up the phone and she could call me back when she was ready to not scream and yell at me. I also followed up with, and ma'am I am more than willing to honor our warranty and still have you scheduled 11-1 today. She called back shortly after, continued with bad mouthing our business, repeating over and over that we weren't honoring the warranty and that we were just wanted to rip her off. This was all NOT true and if she would have let me speak we could have gotten the whole situation sorted out. She told me that she was recording our conversations, I told her I hope you are because I am not the one yelling and name calling. She threatened to file a complaint to the Revdex.com. I told her please do, I have done nothing wrong here. I finally said listen [redacted], not at any point did I say I wasn't going to do right by your purchase. I have you scheduled TODAY. But due to your hositlity and complete lack of respect to another human being I am just going to give you a refund, because I do not want to continue doing business with someone such as your self. I scheduled a pick up of the dryer for the next day. On Friday 12-15-17, we picked up the dryer and gave her a refund over the phone. ( she had paid with a visa). I thought that would be the last I would have to deal with this extremely rude person. I was wrong. She called the morning of Monday 12-19-17. She had the bank on the line too. She said she hadn't gotten the refund yet, I said I have a copy of the credit card slip showing we DID in fact run her card for a refund and that it probably hadn't processed yet due to the weekend, the bank confirmed that and they hung up shortly after. I offered to email her a copy of the refund slip, she agreed. She then said, do you remember our conversation from the other day? I said, how could I forget. She then said, oh how could I forget. And proceeded with accusing me trying to rip her off as well as name calling, and threatening her. She THEN called me a piece of [redacted]. Called me a dirty person and that I need to take a shower. I finally said this conversation is over ,You have your refund and I am emailing it to you now. I called the police department to file a complaint because I wanted to have her name on record in case something else were to happen. She did not seem like a sane person and the things she said to me over the phone were extremely threatening. Regarding threatening her via email . Below are the emails I wrote and then her response. Here is a copy of the refund that was processed on Friday December 15th. on our credit card machine. I also filed a police report due to your verbal harassment over the phone. Also you turning us into the Revdex.com will have no effect on us running our business due to the fact that we offer a 6 month warranty with all of the appliances sold and were more than willing to honor that warranty. Although due to your lack of respect and completely irrational behavior we gave a full refund. Response: I will be forwarding this email to the appropriate contacts, to prove you are the one who in fact has been hostile and insulting, and now threatening. Calling me names and interrupting me and creating a hostile call with your totally unprofessional communication. When all I was doing was trying to do an exchange on your faulty dryer on the exact day of purchase. There has been no laws broken on my end. You are now threatening me as well as insulting me and calling me names. I have not threatened you in any way. I will be glad to speak the authorities about your threats and name calling to your customer. You can’t call the police on every customer you sale a faulty dryer to, just because you do not want honor an exchange or a refund. Good luck with that. My final reply: I am not going to continue with these childish, irrational games you seem to want to play. Do not contact our business via email, phone or any other form of communication. I will not tolerate this harassment any longer. The police have been contacted.

I am rejecting this response because: The Business response is not accurate, nor truthful. You can see in the Business response email to the Revdex.com, that the Welches representative still continues to call me, the customer, more names and starts insulting me again. Which is what sparked the entire negative interaction with them in the first place. Welches continuing to be hostile in her communication.  She can’t even refrain from calling the customer names, and being hostile in her own response to the Revdex.com about the complaint filed against her. There was never a time that I threatened this business or any of its associates, not ever. This is a flat out lie and damaging to my character and reputation. I have a witness that witnessed ALL calls and interactions between Welches representatives and I.  This business has taken trying to resolve a simple exchange, to totally unbelievable extremes. It is a very big deal to accuse your customer of threatening you, when the customer has not threatened them in any way. And then to take it to another extreme level by calling the police, and lying and saying the customer threatened you, is absolutely over the top. Besides the fact that it is illegal to call the police and lie about a crime being committed that was never committed. This is absolutely ridiculous. How is a customer supposed to stay safe from businesses like this? You can ruin someone’s life by falsely calling the police, and falsely acccusing them of a crime they never committed. This is a very big deal. All of my interactions with Welches have been over the phone. I have not stepped one foot in that store during this purchase. I wonder if pulling our phone records will clear this lie up that Welches told. I am more than willing to let anyone hear the phone records. I bet the police, Welches falsely called, would like to hear the phone records too. Which proves I never harassed nor threatened Welches one time. Then we will see who is lying. And I am curious to see if Welches can lie their way out of that one trying to explain why they falsely called the police, and why they falsely tried to get a customer in trouble with the law. In regards to the refund, I have the receipt Welches emailed me for the refund. It shows that Welches visa machine was “offline” at the time they ran my information for the refund. I did finally receive the refund after our last call and interactions. Had the Welches owner/Manager taken a moment to have a professional conversation for at least one minute, that refund misunderstanding would have been cleared up. Instead she continued to escalate the conversation, and turn the conversation hostile by insulting me and calling me names. And being completely irattional and unable to communicate with me at ALL times during our communications.
