The problem is the porch enclosure salesman man: ***. He needs be trained more in customer service and listening skills towards his customers. I was really annoyed and very frustrated when checking my emails almost every day and all I see is emails from *** again and again on design changes. This is not a major renovation to our house - It is a simple porch enclosure and it should not be this difficult. *** clearly doesn't listen to the customer wants/needs and only thinks his way is the best. Handling customers by overwhelming them with design changes so many times causes confusion and not to mention errors or mistakes when the job is suppose to be done. Thank you for the refund cheque of $800 for my deposit and hope you can improve on your customer service...Dec 30: (the quote took over 2hrs) right after I signed the agreement and gave my $800 cheque for deposit he was on his way out the front door when he began telling me outside about two other changes that he could do that would improve the overall appearance. I told him from the beginning of the meeting that I had a long shift and it was late (after 10pm) and had to go to work in the morning and I was good with what we agreed on.......Dec 31 @ 8:10pm: *** suggested by email: not to divide "side" panel based on "half and a half" I replied that I am good with what was originally planned on the agreement and I am interested in stain silver door handles...Jan 4: *** came to my house to show me the colours samples and I agreed on the sandalwood colour, also reminded him about the satin silver handles. He began telling me again about the changes ideas he had for the side panel after I told him Dec 31 that I wasn't interested.......Jan 11: *** sends me a email on recommending the sandalwood handles instead of the satin silver handles.*** I told him that I am good with the silver handles as I told him before on Dec 31........Jan 19 @ 4:20pm: *** sends me a email on changes to the transom for the front of the enclosure and which "direction" I would like the venting transom to be open. *** I replied: It's getting a bit confusing with all these changes offered; I updated the sketch and sent it to him....@ 9:51pm: *** reply and basically is telling me to leave absolutely everything based on our initial agreement and it would be the right way to go*** At this point I am very frustrated and only reply with "ok thank you***showing my wife these emails: she is frustrated and really annoyed.........Jan 21 @ 8:07am: (a little unsure about this whole thing) I email *** about a install date of Feb 21 however later that day after discussing with my wife about all these crazy unnecessary changes, I become really frustrated and change my mind and email him @ 6:51pm stating that I am not interested in the install and want my $800 deposit back and not to step foot on my property cc Welda Windows....Jan 22 @ 11:29am: *** sends another prolonged email and stating that he would assign his experience installer.*** I stated Feb 21 that I wasn't interested and wanted a refund@ 1:23pm: my wife sends out a email stating that we are cancelling the porch enclosure project and want a refund of our $800 deposit and I sent a email stating "if *** or any of Welda Windows employees step foot on our property that the police would be contacted and trespassing charges would be laid". *** cc Welda Windows@ 2:11pm: Mercedes from Welda Windows replies by email and apologizes and says that they would mail out our refund of $800... Jan 29: I receive the refund cheque of $800..Jan 30: I receive another prolonged email from *** stating "he would like to make sure no mistake will be done and your project related to building porch enclosure will be a successful one". I reply and cc Welda Windows "I am unsure what the problem is with *** emailing my wife and I below but we are not getting anything done so *** STOP WITH THE EMAILS or I am contacting the police and harassment charges will be laid.

Desired Outcome

The business needs talk to the salesman *** and tell him to STOP with the emails or I will be talking to the police.

Welda Windows & Doors (Toronto GTA) Response • Feb 02, 2018

Dear Ms.,

We have reviewed your response dated Jan 22, 2018.
Please see our comments below accordingly to your concerns below.

He provided a written cost summary (I have this paper) indicating the monthly cost of the furnace over the 48 month term would be $4319. The buyout at the end of the term was $350. The monthly fee $101.68 would appear on my *** bill for the term. He indicated that I would be eligible $1,700 rebate.

I agreed to the terms but only if I could buyout the furnace after 2 years, completing the difference payment to make up for 48 months. The buyout fee would be waived. *** agreed and said, I will receive an email letting me know it is accepted and I can buyout the furnace any time with no additional charges. I signed a rental agreement at that time. I was assured that it would reflect the summary just discussed and written. I was concerned with the monthly payment which was handwritten. Verifying that, I signed. However, on closer examination and later discovery, the rental term was actually 120 months! The cost of the furnace would then be $101.68X 120 = $12 201.60 - about 3X what was discussed and written.

In reference to your written cost summary verses legal binding Sales Agreement which was explained on the reaffirmation call of the terms and conditions. If there were any hand written promises from the agent should have been written on the agreement for the office to compile the same understandings.

The next day (Nov. 11th) I got a call to confirm the agreement. I had been told by *** to say "Yes" when I get the phone call, so I can get the furnace the same day. I agreed as it was very cold in the house and I was worried about occupants in the house and myself and getting sick and maybe even my water pipes bursting. In the afternoon the new furnace arrived. I paid $200 to a technician for additional material.

Please note we conduct reaffirmation call for the customer to clearly have their own understanding of the agreement they have signed with the Sales Agent, if they were not clear on the terms and conditions they could have declined anything prior to installation of the equipment.
At the same day I received an e mail form *** CONFIRMING I can buyout the furnace and the fee of $350. is waved and the maintenance is not applicable.
Email from *** from ***

Customer Response • Feb 02, 2018

Hello ***,

Thank you for your response. After discussing with our management, we have issued you the refund for $7.3 as well. Kindly allow 1-3 business days for the amount to process back in your original method of payment account.

Thanks

We paid $4,400 to install the windows. They arrived and said they couldn't get this to the second floor. Regardless that we have a permanent staircase, all of our contractors and inspectors have used the same stair case with NO ISSUES. We have had to incur an extra $2,000-3,000 to pay our building contractors to move the windows the second floor. They still claim there was "no access" to the second floor, yet the next day they were able to access it??

The also provided a window THAT THEY MEASURED, that was too big. They refuse to replace the window, and they refuse to acknowledge anything is their fault.

***

***, who says he is the owner is very aggressive in his calls, and talks over us when we try to talk. He keeps repeating that he delivered the windows and installed them and thats ends of story.

Desired Outcome

A) The company to pay for our contractor to move the windows the second floor. We paid $4400 for delivery and installation. Our contractor is charging us $2500 for the time and labour of moving the windows to the second floor when we already paid Welda to do so. B) Either replace the window that they provided the wrong size, or to pay for our contractor to widen the wall to to fit the wrong sized window.

Oct 13/17-Homeowner/builder mr. *** purchased Windows & Doors from Welda, on a "Cash & Carry" basis. (Cash and Carry products are installed by the the homeowner/builder
Prior to ordering the products from manufacturers, Welda Windows sent all production sizes to the client for a confirmation of order.

After the sizing was confirmed by mr *** and Windows & Doors were produced, the customer asked us to install their products. As a measure of good faith, we agreed. When our crew arrived at the job site, there was no safe access to the upper floor, where the window installation was required. At this time, the customer agreed to arrange the extra manpower, to assist our crew with lifting the window, safely, to the upper floor. On this day the installation was completed, to the customer's satisfaction, and the balance paid in full.

On October 3, 2017, the customer requested a visit to their home to address some concerns they had in regards to the installed window. The owners of Welda made an appointment with the homeowners to visit the home on October 4, 2017. On October 3 , negative reviews were posted by the customer's wife on various website (prior to our visit to their home, on October 4th)

Customer Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The windows and doors that were installed are good quality, and in a separate note between Welda Windows and us, we agreed that the windows and the installation is fully warrantied by Welda Windows. We appreciated that Welda came to site to look at the work they had done.

We weren't appreciative of the tone that was taken on the phone and in person, the discussions were heated and loud at times.

In direct response to the points made by Welda Windows and to set the record straight.
The production sizes for the addition were okay.
The replacement window for the existing house was measured by the sales representative of Welda Windows, the measurements were accepted assuming Welda had correct measurements. The opening was enlarged by another contractor and the window is installed. Welda Windows warrants the window and the installation.
The measure of good faith came with a cost of $3900 for delivery, installation material and manpower. A pre-inspection of the site as per sales representative email could have prevented this misunderstanding.
Welda alleges we had no Sade access. Safe access was provided via stairs inside the house, one window would likely not have fit and additional manpower resolved the issue.
Welda has not compensated us for the additional manpower of moving all the windows or enlarging the window frame of the ill measured windows. Their stance of they couldn't move the windows because there was no access was unfounded and the additional cost to us should be reimbursed.

Hey ***,

In regards to the conditions, you must have misread them, I am not looking to you to pay for damages caused by other contractors, that is not at all my expectation. I ask that you warrant your work and in case your work causes consequential damages that you will pay for any damages caused due to the faulty installation from your installers. You have said that there will be no issues due to your installation therefore this condition should not be an issue for Welda.
As for the reviews we removed them, I do not understand if they still show up. In regards to the Revdex.com case, we tried to recall the case but were not able to, have they contacted you? If so have them contact me and we'll close it.

Regards, ***

As you can see there were no outstanding issues with the client ***, and as a nice gesture Welda sent him a cheque for $150 for the incovenience
Thanks
