We had a water system installed by The Water Clinic which they guaranteed to work or you don't pay. The system has not worked properly since installed. With this unit we have been shocked by electricity and had our basement flooded twice. Our water was always clear but salty now it is a tea color and not fit to drink. We have complained to the company for the last few months all we want is for the equipment to be removed and our money refunded as they promise in their guarantee. They have been out numerous times to service the equipment and it still does not work. I can not afford the time or the money to keep having this equipment serviced so I have requested them to have the equipment removed since the water is not good quality. We have been complaining, leaving messages etc. every second day since installation and then probably every week there after.[redacted]Desired SettlementWe want the equipment removed and the loan which they put in place paid off so our credit is not affected.Business Response We installed a water system for [redacted]. They have a guarantee in their possession that we MUST service the system if their is an issue. They will not let us in their home to see what the problem is, if their even is a problem. They have been calling the office and we have been returning their calls. All they say is take it out. This is not the agreement. They have not paid for any service and we are not asking for any money. We have not been there for probably 4-5 months. We can contact them for a service call or they may call us to make arrangements for service. The fix here may be a simple membrane replacement which is normal. The brochure reads Guaranteed to work or you do not pay. Also the water quality is not satisfactory so I feel the system should be removed. [redacted] Final Business Response Good morning, as stated in my first response that we have not been to their home in 4-5 months.They are now stating that...''NO ONE HAS EVER CALLED US TO ARRANGE FOR THE SERVICEMANTO COME''. And they also state that they have spoken to our serviceman waiting for instructions...We have spoken to them numerous times about servicing the equipment!! They will not let us service it. We were guaranteed a water system that would give us water quality that was better then any boughten water ([redacted]). We were told that the system would save us money, we would no longer have the cost of buying salt which our previous system used, but would only need to replace a $350.00 membrane once a year, possibly twice a year tops. We would no longer have to buy bottled water was another saving, or run to the nearest town with a tank to wash down the house and windows. With this new system we have to replace the membrance every 30 days (this would run into $4,200 a year). After only a week of service the system provided harder water then we had with our old system. After numerous test and phone calls we were told that we had good water, water tested (7GPG) hardness. According to there spec sheet Moderately hard is 3.5 to 7 GPG, and hard is 7 to 10.5 GPG, (We have a sheet of paper with their Name and number providing these FACTS. We asked to have the system removed and wanted our money back like they guaranteed. THE REPAIRMAN DID NOT HAVE 'O' RINGS IN HIS TRAILER & CHARGEDXTRA CALL OUT,NEW LEAK,TANKS NOT CLEANED,BASEMENT SOAKED DIDNT DO JOB[redacted] SAID HE DIDNT HAVE ANY O RINGS LEFT AND WOULD COME BACK. WHEN RETURNED HE DIDNT CLEAN WATER TANK,TEST WATER LEVELS OR PUT HUMIDIFIER DRAIN PIPE INTO DRAIN, LEFT ALL OLD MATERAILS OVER FLOOR, AND A LARGE PIECE OF TOWEL ON FLOOR.I PAID PART CREDIT CARD, PART CHEQUE. WHEN I CHECKED IN BASEMENT AND SAW THE LEAK AND MESS I CALLED CLINIC AND TOLD STAFF. THEY SAID THEYLL SORT OUT THE EXTRA CHARGES AND RENUMERIFCATION AND AGREED NO SATISFACTORY.
