Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] Please add your rejection comments below Although the builder has now explained the monies owed for the job, he has not dealt with the fact that he left us with a sloppy job (scratches, uneven floor boards, etc.) that now needs to be fixedNot only do we have to find someone and hope that the cost of fixing his errors do not exceed the remaining balance on the job, but our solution to fixing the problems on the deck means that we have an added yearly expense we were not planning onWe originally were going to allow the deck to weather naturally but now that it has to be sanded, we will have to oil it twice a year.We know it is reasonable and customary that when a job is nearing completion the customer may have some complaints, a punch list Builders expect this and in all our past construction experiences other builders have fixed issues and made us happy This builder never even tried to make us happy...never attempted to fix anything...just walked We are still unhappy customers and have much aggravation ahead of us.We do not recommend himHe does not try to work with his client at all Curious why at first he agreed to fix the issues, even admitting he made some of the problems, but then changed his mind We have everything in writing Regards, [redacted]

Our complaint was never that the deck was structurally unsound The builder also states that "If you had chosen another way to present your concerns, perhaps things could have been different." We did try to reason with him in person and via email which we have copies of Is he saying that because we didn't tell him we were unhappy the way he wanted us to say it was reason enough to walk on the job? We did try to compromise with him but his back went up the minute we didn't tell him how wonderful the deck was We still have scratches He still damaged the inside living room floor The wood is still splintered Yes, the deck may be structurally sound but we still have to look at what we consider a sloppy job whether he does or not Maybe he made his first mistakes in years on our job, but the fact is they exist.

May 3, 2015*** and *** ***,*** *** system has been installed by Wellfleet Steel Works He has been informed to send the bill directly to you.On Wednesday, April 29, 2015, I made arrangements with *** ***, Wellfleet Building Inspector to perform a final inspection to the work I have done.*** inspected the framing below and support posts They meet with his approval and they are code compliant He then inspected the deck level - railings and cable systems - they meet code.I asked him to check the butt joints of the decking, as this is one of your concerns of being hazardous He found this is a situation when two boards meet an they do not present a tripping hazard.I asked him to check the 4xpost, as your concern it is structurally unsound His opinion - it is not structurally unsound, therefore he has approved the work that I have completed.Your deck is safe to occupy. If you have any questions you can call *** *** @ ###-###-#### He is available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday Office hours are 8-a.m.Your accusations are as far as the quality of my work done at your home I will never meet your expectations. The aggravation that you claim you incurred, because you have to treat the deck twice a year is false If you choose to have the deck sanded to meet your expectations, then yes, you will have to oil it once and then let it gray.I realize that you would not recommend me as far as a builder and that is fine My reputation in Wellfleet speaks for itself.I build multi million dollar homes in Wellfleet and leave with no punch list If there is a punch list, I have always responded quickly. Unfortunately, by accusing me of building a deck that is hazardous, unsafe and could cause serious bodily injuries has resulted in what I have chosen to do And that is to walk away.If you had chosen another way to present your concerns, perhaps things could have been different.Respectfully submitted,*** ** ***Wellfleet Custom Builders

Although the builder has now explained the monies owed for the job, he has not dealt with the fact that he left us with a sloppy job (scratches, uneven floor boards, etc.) that now needs to be fixed. Not only do we have to find someone and hope that the cost of fixing his errors do not exceed the remaining balance on the job, but our solution to fixing the problems on the deck means that we have an added yearly expense we were not planning on. We originally were going to allow the deck to weather naturally but now that it has to be sanded, we will have to oil it twice a year.We know it is reasonable and customary that when a job is nearing completion the customer may have some complaints, a punch list.  Builders expect this and in all our past construction experiences other builders have fixed issues and made us happy.  This builder never even tried to make us happy...never attempted to fix anything...just walked.  We are still unhappy customers and have much aggravation ahead of us.We do not recommend him. He does not try to work with his client at all.  Curious why at first he agreed to fix the issues, even admitting he made some of the problems, but then changed his mind.  We have everything in writing.
