of work to even walk the property with and make a plan of actionThe fact that the negotiations between his public adjuster and *** took MONTHS has nothing to do with our company Mr*** payments were made as a standard procedure as we are a general contractor; not a bank or insurance company We do not fund the project "we build" the project.Once we were provided a scope of work and payment in March, we were able to have a starting point to meet with the *** and make a plan of action There were a number of change orders which they were interested in and wanted to see how they could move money around within the scope to pay for them During that process, the concern arose about the integrity of the garage slab We requested an inspection from an engineer which took several weeks to schedule considering the volume of construction going on in the Houston area During this same time frame, several major flood events occurred in which entire roadways were cut off and access limited as well as people actually dying Significant events to say the least These weather delays affected the timeliness for the engineer to inspect and provide the report accordingly Once received, the document was provided to the insurance company who in turn indicated that there was no coverage for this and the homeowner would be responsible for the cost.Considering that the electrical supply and gas enters the garage and runs through the breezeway into the home, no construction can take place until there is a resolution about the failed foundation Thank goodness we as a responsible general contractor had not just gone in and demolished the entire interior of the home, but rather utilized a limited demo crew so that we could salvage areas within the home This is actually the money that will be utilized to break out and re pour the foundation for the garage which ultimately saved Mr*** tens of thousands of dollars.While we strive to move quickly through a project, we are also completely honest Mr*** own statement reflects that we indicated this project would take until September of which we are on track to deliver What Mr*** doesn't discuss is the outrageous and abusive language he uses when dealing with the superintendent, the midnight rants with extensive cursing, and the fact that at one point the neighbor's called the police due to his screaming and cursing and blocking our superintendent's truck in from leaving He has omitted the fact that he was swinging a 2xaround and hitting the dumpster and more less freaking out when in fact the superintendent was there to meet about the upcoming schedule to demolish the foundation of the garageWe have been more than patient with the aggressive actions and disrespectful treatment our staff has received and on top of that the attempt to damage our reputation with this complaint.The truth is that five months of he and his public adjuster dealing with the insurance company, the processing time for the insurance proceeds, and failed foundation are what has taken the time Not U S Construction Everybody wants to blame someone for the difficult situations in life This is no different We continue to help an angry man who is dealing with an unfortunate situation and all he wants to do is attempt to damage us Unfortunate Our company is reconstructing many properties as we speakOur customers are treated with respect and every move we make is in an effort to protect their interests and provide the best building experience possible under difficult circumstances Even when they act like a complete and total crazy person That's because we don't let others disrespect dictate the way we do business.The expected completion time for the project was September If this is extended due to the foundation issue, we will communicate with *** and advise them accordingly so that they can extend the additional living expense coverage for the Engles Int the mean time we are going to press forward and work diligently to reconstruct the home in a timely fashion
