personBelow is the relevant information related to the issue raisedPlease look it over and let us know if there is any additional information we can provide.This person signed a written agreement with WellSpace LLC on August 26th, "for the use of space, starting September 15th, 2017" for a monthly rent of $At that time she paid a deposit in the amount of $Her prorated September rent was due by her start date of September 15th, in the amount of $416, for September 15th to September 30th(She never paid that fee)She called us on September 6th to cancel the agreement (speaking directly with our office manager, *** ***), and she requested that her entire $deposit be returned to herHer notice of cancellation was confirmed the following day by us via email and we reminded her at that time that, per our written agreement, 30-days notice is required for cancellationWe said that we would record the verbal notice she gave us the previous day, that it would take effect days later (i.e., end of day October 6th), and that she was responsible for rent for the period from September 15th to October 6th, for a total prorated amount of $We informed her that we would deduct that $from her $deposit and return the remaining $to herWhile she expressed her belief that this was unfair and somehow in violation of our written agreement, it was exactly in keeping with our written agreement and we proceeded to return the $remaining deposit to her via ***She refused to accept that payment and it was returned to usWe remain ready to return that $to her at any time that she is willing to accept it.Again, we believe we have acted entirely properly, but please let us know if there is any other information you might need from us to further clarify our positionThank you

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.There was no discussion about any pro-rated "rent" due prior to the September 15th date.  You will note as well that nothing was stated in the contract requesting monies be pro-rated nor paid prior to September 15th. The contract only stipulated that the agreement was to begin on September 15th. Even though I provided him with the law stating that contracts begin on their effective date, [redacted] has continued to illegally hold my deposit and has not provided any refund to date. This discussion about proration is a weak attempt justifying him stealing my money.  I also find it interesting that this response was prompted by me placing a review on his website stating he never responded to the Revdex.com 4 requests of reaching out.  He needs to provide a full refund of my deposit.
