We are closed for the winter This issue will be handled in the spring when we re-open for business Mr [redacted] 's driveway was also seal coated His half down payment didn't even cover the costs of the labor and materials used on his driveway Our company assumed that he was using a non-payment as a "non-satisfied" response to the services he either did or didn't receive Furthermore; most customer's (if they are going to file a complaint) usually will complete one during the construction season........not in the dead of winter when nothing can be completed or resolved until months after the complaint. This issue will have to wait until summer of 2016; when weather permits this type of work to be completedBrad Best***

RevDex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] I made many attempts to contact Fox Valley Asphalt by email and phone for a response regarding my dissatisfaction of the work they performed shortly after the work was completed, which was mid summer. The only response was from Ron [redacted] stating that he forwarded the information on to Brad Best. I have never received any replies from Brad Best concerning this matter. I tried to resolve this issue during the construction season with Fox Valley Asphalt direct with no response. If as they said in their response that they assumed non payment was considered by them as a “non-satisfied” response, why didn’t they follow up rather than not answering emails and phone calls?Didn’t think getting the BBB involved was standard practice in resolving a dispute and was hoping to settle the matter between Fox Valley Asphalt and myself. I am rejecting their response because they are not saying what they are going to do to resolve this matter. I do understand the work cannot be completed during winter, that is why I said in my desired settlement, “when weather permits”.Regards, Mike [redacted]

We are writing a response to complaint *** for Fox Valley Asphalt . We did not respond to this business as he did not complete the agreed upon requirements until last Friday, September 25, at which time this claim was already closed. We did however call the local office and were given your information to send this letter. We have been on vacation this week but would like to respond to this claim as follows:Mr*** and Fox Valley Asphalt did come out and correct the situation at our neighbors house to our satisfaction on Friday September 25th, we will be sending Mr*** a check for the $for the balance of the contracted amount we owe Mr***, as we never wanted something for nothing. But we did expect a business like response to a concern to our neighbors property in an expedient manner.Did Fox Valley follow through on this issue? Yes, eventually. Would we recommend this business to others, probably not. The owner has some definite customer service issues that we personally would have a hard time recommending, as our small job at a small price seemed insignificant to Mr***. Thank you for your help.Sincerely,*** and *** ***

As of today;  ( 9-15-15 )  I have spoken with both [redacted] & [redacted].  Their attached complaint goes without warrant given the type of repair that was needed.  This area was not patched last year as per [redacted]'s claim;  it was simply crack sealed.  The...

edge of their driveway has settled along with the sub-base that is underneath the paved driveway.  This is typical for driveways that are on constructed on slopes.  By no means is this condition any responsibility of Fox Valley Asphalt,  or any other paving contractor who could have paved this original project.  Consumers should fully expect to perform routine maintenance on their driveways for whatever the asphalt's needs may be.  Last year's services were performed at NO CHARGE to the [redacted]'s as a courtesy to them for the driveway that was installed 3 years ago.  This year's services were contracted out for patching the edge of the driveway that settled.  This work has been completed as per industry standard,  however they are not happy with the way it looks.  I explained what the service would be, and that sealing the driveway ( even though not needed ) would "hide or cover"  the patch.   Unfortunately,  this lousy   $500.00  patch has escalated into a full blown complaint and a series of rude phone calls to our office directed at our secretary.  After speaking with [redacted]; it was agreed that Fox Valley Asphalt would write off the balance due ( $250.00 ) and apply a single coat of sealer at no charge to them for the entire driveway.  I saw this problem coming from the very beginning on this project and probably should have just simply walked away;  however I felt compelled to try and repair this area for them, given that the driveway was installed by Fox Valley Asphalt, through their building contractor.  Unfortunately,  this has blown up in our face and we will simply chalk this one up as another customer that cannot be satisfied no matter what.  Once this driveway is sealed, I fully expect to have this matter closed out as satisfied.
