Wendt Gallery

Review: I bought a painting, under a contract with the gallery. The contract states that, should I wish to sell the painting after 36 months, Wendt Gallery will buy it back for a specified price. Thirty-six months have passed, and I want to sell the painting back to the gallery. At this time, the Gallery has refused to accept my letter stating my wish to sell the painting back to them. Wendt Gallery is breaching the contract -- a contract they wrote. I will probably have to get my attorney to initiate legal action to enforce the terms of the contract. This the second bad experience with Wendt Gallery. The first painting I bought, at the same time as the current painting, I paid for, but the gallery never delivered the painting. And then, the painting was sold to someone else. They literally stole my money. Eventually I got my money back, after getting my attorney involved.Desired Settlement: Repurchase the painting for agreed price. I am open negotiation for a new, lower, price.
