Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2017/08/10) */
I received a text from the customer on 5-19-(not 5-19-16)Explained to him that I was very busy but gave him contact information for my roofing subcontractor to set up a time to fix leakTold my subcontractor to let me know if customer
contacted himHe had notWhen we did the roof, I explained to the customer that the vents should be replaced as they were very oldCustomer was opposed to this because he liked the older style vent look and wanted to keep itAs far as the warranty, the shingles have a limited lifetime warranty through the shingle manufacturer
My Resolution for this would be that the customer contact my subcontractor to set up a time to meet and my subcontractor would caulk the power vent at no chargeSubcontractor's contact information is *** Depoy DBA D&S Roofing Repairs, LLCXXX-XXX-XXXXPhone number was previously given to customer
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2017/08/10) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I was never given any contact informationFor a sub contractor although he said he would get it to meHis explanation for being very busy was "I have to much on my plate to worry about a leaking power vent"The vents should be replaced comment is totally untrue as I told him the turbo vents where better than the new style vents, he agreed and said he would paint them they would be fineThe warranty for the shingles is all well and good but what good is a warranty when he wont show up to fix the problemTHE phone number previously given for sub contractor is not true! Also why would it be on me to set up a meeting with his sub contractor isn't it his job and responsibility to take care of his customersHis resolution at best is horrible as my roof has been leaking for months and NOTHING has been doneAlso noteworthy, why would a business man not want to do something for his customer, that should have been done months ago, as he stated via text when I told him I would contact Revdex.com and he said he understood do what you have to do, his words
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2017/08/17) */
My response is if the customer had contacted my roofing subcontractor months ago, this wouldn't be a continuous problemI did, in fact, give him the subcontractor's cell numberMy subcontractor knew that the customer would be callingIf the main complaint is that he just wants his power vent sealed, why wouldn't he have called the subcontractor? Once again, my resolution would be that the customer contact the subcontractor and set up a time that they can meet and resolve the issue, at no chargeThis problem would be resolved a lot sooner without me being the middle man to try and coordinate two people's schedulesThis will be my last responseAny more correspondence between the customer and I will be done through my Attorney
Final Consumer Response /* (2000, 17, 2017/09/06) */
I called his sub roofer and he finally came over and sealed the leak, and it stopped leakingNever heard back from * *** as to his attorney name or phone number and again why would I have to contact his sub roofer if he wanted his business to be successful WHY wouldnt he contact his sub to fix a leakThis needs to be kept on his recordes FOREVER as he wont honor his word*** ***
