I'm a contractor with FedEx and I operate many trucks in the metro Philadelphia areaOne of my routes is in the Spring City areaToday, one of my drivers needed to be winched out of a country roadI called W***l's around 2pm and they told me the driver would be there within the hour, which he wasThe driver winched out the truck within minutesTotal charge: $ $per hour/minimum two hoursNow, I have had trucks winched out many times before and the range has been from $to $Remember, this is not a towThey are just pulling a truck out of a tight spotI wasn't told at the outset that would be the costI certainly would have looked elsewhere instead of paying that amount, but I didn'tWhen I called to complain, the boss - John W*** was downright rude and belligerentHe said he couldn't waste my time with a non-paying customer and that they wouldn't release the truck until it was paidHe also threatened to call the policeI, of course, paid the $immediatelyOf course, the driver out there also got paid $from my business partnerSo they got $1K for minutes workI'm sure they'll refund one of those payments -then again I was really taken aback by the attitudeI called both Miller's Towing, Janeway and they charge around $200, so I guess it's gone up, but MrW***l said those tow outfits are not in their area, so the prices are differentWow, never knew Spring City/Royersford had such pricey winch bills as opposed to the rest of the area What a jokeRipped off
