This is my conversation with werner about their ladder. Mine broke I was lucky it was not fully extended you might not be so lucky. Make your own decision.
Me- I don't have the receipt I bought it at home depot about a 5 ish years ago. Here are pictures of the broken rung. I think this would speak to the quality of the product. I'm just glad it wasn't fully extended when it broke. Is there any kind of recall on your ladders? I will be looking for a new ladder if this one will not be replaced by warranty or recall. Please let me know.
Werner- Hello Edward, Good day! The damaged on the ladder is caused by normal wear and tear. It is not a manufacturing defect. I will be advising you to take it out of service for your safety.
