As a tenant, Red Door is really a great company to work withOur application and move in process were very smoothAfter move, we noticed a few items that need addressed and they had someone from their maintenance staff our to complete the repairs in a very timely mannerRandy, I think the maintenance staff our to complete the repairs in a very timely manner***, I think, the maintenance man was very friendly and had everything fixed quicklyHe even helped me put my bed together

I am the type of person who likes to write reviews on great service, rather than complaining about poor service as it sometimes seems that the reviewer has some type of grudgeIn this case, I am reviewing this company because I don't want anyone who is either looking to rent a place, or an owner of a property to get involved with this horrible company
I moved to the area and wanted to rent a home for my first year before deciding where to buy I have owned my own home for over years
My realtor showed me this property, and it seemed to fit my needs
I knew something was off right from the start when the impatient boy tried to schedule a time to meet me at the house so I could move inI was coming from out of town with my movers and their truckThe kid insisted that I make an aptFor 1pm, but I wasn't sure of the exact time we would arriveI needed to get in earlier so that my movers could unload and get back to their home town at a reasonable hourHe was not flexible at allRefusing to change the time...so I sat with a moving van for 21/hours waiting for our aptTo get into the houseThe young man was supposed to show me around and familiarize myself with the appliances etc none of which he didHe stayed in the kitchen the entire time and looked on his phoneSaid he was waiting for a copy of the key to be deliveredI asked him about the gas fireplace, and he simply stated that he was not an electrician and he didn't know He stated that should I chose to call for maintained, I would be charged a min$home call
Other instances were putting in a maintenance request and waitingOver weeks to even get a reply from themThey never answer their phonesI was told week before Christmas that I couldn't get anyone out to fix my fireplace because as the office girl Leesa said " well, it's close to the holidays, and we don't have people working!!!!
Good luck if you have an emergency! Showing up unannounced and unscheduled to repair things when they did comeMy refrigerator went out on a FridayCalled Friday put request in on Saturday called again on Sunday and spoke with a woman who said someone would call me right backCalled more times on Monday, finally they got a hold of a maintenance co., who said they could not get out till WednesdayThen they blatantly refused to reimburse me for all my spoiled foodIf you feel this is acceptable, then this is the company for youWhen I wasn't able to pay my rent online rather than by mail (and told them in advance) they charged me first a $late fee, and then $a day in addition per day until paidThey are very nasty to deal with, and Mike *** the owner is very condescending and arrogant When I asked him who owned this company, he obnoxiously stated that he was, as if that was impressive to meI told him he should be ashamed of himself
This company flies just above the legal limit of what you can and can't do and they know it, which is why they have gotten away with this kind of customer serviceThey have no respect for their tenants, as I have felt as if they thought of me as a sub human being
I have never been treated so viciously or disrespectful in my lifeI hope this helps at least one person from going through this treatment again

Red Door Property Management recently started managing a home we had for saleThe home was not selling so we opted to try to rent it our instead of taking a lossI am very glad we went this route as out home would still be on the market and we would still be paying two mortgagesRed Door took on our property and found a great tenant within weeks and the move in happened in less than a month from them taking the propertyI love the electronic signatures, You Tube move in videos and overall communication from our property manager and the staff

We have been renting a home managed by Red Door for about two and a half years now and love working with Red Door. Our previous management company was less than stellar to say the leastCommunication is great, maintenance is respectful and responsive( a huge change from our last place) and we love how everything is electronic and online

Hi ***, I am responding to a recent complaint (***) the Revdex.com received on behalf of our company
'Tahoma", sans-serif; COLOR: black'>Red Door Property ManagementI believe Mr***'s claims to be baseless and have documentation to support that Red Door Property Management did everything within our power to protect Mr***'s property and provide an excellent level of customer service
Red Door placed a tenant is Mr***'s personal residence in December of Red Door performed a move in inspection and found the home in less than desirable conditionWe post all of move in inspections to You Tube and the one for *** can be found here:
https://www.youtube.conn/***You can see from this move in inspection, Mr
*** left the home is poor condition for a new tenant move inThe missing screens Mr*** mentioned in his complaint are noted at 1:of the videoThe cat urine smell is mentioned at 3:of the move in inspection
While the tenant in the home was certainly not an ideal tenant, she did keep the home in reasonable
conditionWe conducted an inspection during her tenancy on 5/2/sent the owner a video of the inspection (attachment A)
Regarding the funds for the home, we had to coordinate many repairs for this home and one expensive repair towards the end of the tenant's tenancy in the homeWe had master bath garden tub replaced
at a cost of $which was clearly communicated to Mr*** (attachment B)On March 5th, we emailed Mr*** to let him know he had a balance with Red Door and asked him to pay that balance (attachment C)On March 11th, Mr*** responded in an email that it would take him several weeks to get the rest of money to Red Door (attachment 0)The tenant moved out on 3/after which we did an inspection of the property and determined her entire security deposit would be forfeited due to damage to the homeOn March 20th, Mr*** asked when he can expect his security deposit (attachment E)On March 30th, Red Door sent Mr*** an email and final accounting statement taking out the monies owed to Red Door (attachment E)
Mr*** informed us that he would be moving back into the home immediately after the tenant moved outDue to this fact, we were not able to get our maintenance department in the home to repair any damage from the tenantWhen an owner moves back into the home, this is not an uncommon practice at allWe simply credit the owner the funds that we deduct from the tenant's security deposit and allow them to coordinate the repairs themselves after they move back into the homeIn Mr***'s case, this is exactly what was done, but he had a balance due to Red Door which was deducted from his funds and why it resulted in Mr*** receiving less than the full security deposit
If you have any questions or need any further documentation, please feel free to contact me directly at 317-362-4***
Sincerely,
Michael ***

We are only just moved in, but so far the process has been great, they are swift to respond and had a decision made on our application the same day we submitted itThe next day we were signing a lease electronically and paying our deposit onlineI am in a tech industry and appreciate a company that embraces technology to make everything faster and simpler!

We live in California and have property in Westfield that we were trying to manage ourselvesTrying to manage our home from 2,miles away was very difficult to say the leastWe had actually got ourselves into a situation where we thought we needed to evict our current tenantThis is when we hired Red Door to manage our homeChris and Mike were able to salvage the strained relationship with our current tenant and actually worked out a deal to make the eviction not necessaryThe tenant is now current and we didn't have attorney fees, vacancy cost or any other costs associated with turnoverWe are VERY happy with our decision to have Red Door manage our home

Red Door has been managing my rental home in Indianapolis for years nowThe accounting and monthly statements are always on time which is a real relief after my past management companiesThey always have quick responses to my questions and have placed great tenantsThese guys really provide quality property management which seems impossible to find in the Indianapolis marketRed Door Property Management is the real deal
