This letter is in response to complaint reference number ***, dated September 30, The complainant claims that WesBanco Bank, Inc(the "Bank") charged overdraft fees against his account incorrectlyHe would like for these fees to be waivedThe Bank reviewed the complainant's account
activity for the time period referenced in his complaintIt was determined that all overdraft fees were charged correctly and in accordance with the Consumer Deposit Account Agreement and Overdraft Honor Program disclosures previously provided to the complainantAs previously explained to the complainant, the Bank cannot control when a merchant submits a transaction to the Bank for processingAdditionally, he was informed that the Bank could remove his account from the Overdraft Honor Program in order for him to avoid such fees but he specifically requested that his account continue to be enrolled in the Bank's overdraft programThe Bank must decline the complainant's request for these overdraft fees to be waived as they have been properly assessed against his accountOver the past year, as a courtesy the Bank has already waived $of overdraft fees to the complainant although they were properly assessedWhen the complainant requested overdrafts be waived this past August, the Bank fulfilled his request but explained to him that the Bank could no longer continue to waive these feesIf I can be of any further assistance in this matter, please let me know

The "FACT" act did not stop other credit providers from showing Good Will resultsI would set up a payment plan for the over drafted account (which is a total different account and in no way attached to my complaint)I would propose a payment plan for the over draft account if the bank would show good will, and remove ALL late payments from the loan accountOtherwise, I am still very displeased with Wes BancoAgain, you are the ONLY bank or credit provider that has been unwilling to assist or provide any help.If you are interested in a compromise, I am sure we can agree to settle all disputes

This letter is in response to complaint reference number [redacted], dated June 15, 2015. The complainant claims that WesBanco Bank, Inc. (the "Bank") pulled his credit report when he applied for a home equity loan despite his wishes that a credit report not be pulled due to his low credit score. The...

complainant contacted the Bank inquiring into the Bank's Home Equity FlexLine, which is a type of home equity line of credit. While applying for this loan, he did repeatedly state that his credit score was low, but he wasn't sure how low. He was informed that we could not "pre-qualify" him for this type of loan and that if he wished to proceed with applying for it, credit score was one of the factors used when determining an approval. He was told the lowest credit score that the Bank accepts and he stated he wished to proceed. He was also informed that he only needed to provide the additional information if he wished to proceed with applying for the FlexLine loan. As he indicated in his complaint, he provided this additional information. The Bank only requested a credit report for this applicant due to his request for a loan. It was explained that credit score was a factor in the approval process and he still indicated his intent to apply for the loan. The Bank's inquiry is required to be reflected on his credit report and cannot be removed.  If I can be of any further assistance in this matter, please let me know.

This letter is in response to complaint reference number [redacted], dated June 23, 2015. The complainant claims that WesBanco Bank, Inc. (the "Bank") will not remove late payments reflected on his credit report as an act of good will. He would like some, if not all, of the late payments for his loan...

account reflected on his credit report to be removed. The complainant is correct that the Bank will not remove late payments from being reported to the credit bureaus as an act of good will. The Bank believes that the FACT Act requires us to report accurate and complete credit information and are thus precluded from reporting or removing credit information selectively. Additionally, while investigating this complaint, it was determined that the complainant has a charged-off deposit account that still contains an outstanding balance of $519.00. He should contact the Bank's Overdraft Honor Department at [redacted], ext. [redacted] to set up payment arrangements to pay off this outstanding balance. If I can be of any further assistance in this matter, please let me know.
