Complaint[redacted]'s was hired to do some landscaping of my backyard. They failed to fix the grade issue in my backyard, failed to install the proper amount of drains, and in the proper places, failed to "install" the proper type of mulch and thus killed 95 perennials I bought and planted myself (smothered and killed them). The sod they installed died after the first cut. When I paid them to lay the sod the second time, they failed to level the ground, instead patching the new sod right on top of the old sod, thus creating an uneven surface and then that sod died within weeks of installation. After countless attempts to get them to fix the issue as they promised, they failed time and again to hold up their end of the agreement.Product_Or_Service: LandscapingDesired SettlementRefund for all aspects of the landscaping that failed.Business Response

I paid for landscaping work to be completed by May 2, and as of June 20, it is not done yet. I have already paid for the work.Partial work was done on May 26 nearly a month after the promised date. [redacted] provided several excuses for the late start (weather, availability of sod, etc.) He promised to COMPLETE the remaining work Tuesday, May 31. I asked him if there would be ANY delays to that timeline (as there had been before) due to weather, etc. He promised that there would be NO delays, because there were no heavy equipment concerns for the remaining work. He did NOT complete the work on May 31, nor did he contact me about it until June 1, when he said weather affected the sod availability. He then said he would have the sod on Friday. I heard nothing more from him until I contacted him on June 6 for an update. He replied on June 7, saying it was still too wet, and he hoped to finish on June 8. No one showed, so I contacted him on June 9, when he said he would get the sod and finish that day. As of June 20, and the work has not been completed and I have no confidence that it will be. I've contacted Mr. [redacted] almost daily for updates, and each time he promises a new date. None of those dates have been met. I'm filing this complaint to get the work completed that I've paid for.Desired SettlementThe remaining sod should be laid, pine straw removed from underneath the deck and replaced with mulch, and a leaning tree in the front yard to be staked/straightened.Business Response The business called and said that he has tried to contact the consumer.
