We are truly sorry for the misunderstanding and any inconvenience this may have caused the customer The math adds up but our site had a temporary glitch which gave the customer the incorrect discounted total We do apologize about that but the glitch happened within our website administrative platformThe customer is correct in that our site does have a “crawl” that indicates 50-75%, however, the message says ALL FLOORING, SAVE 50-75% It in no way reflects a 50% to 75% discount off of an order The reader is free to review our site for their own inspection at www.floorstoyourhome.com, and stay on the front/first page to view the crawls in the middle of the page on the right.The customer is also correct that there is a message bar at the top of the page indicating a $discount on regularly priced merchandise Had the checkout worked properly either for the customer or as coded/written, the customer would have been able to enter the coupon code for the $discount.Our site had a temporary bug/glitch and gave the improper total for the customer’s order We called the customer as soon as feasible and tried to explain the situation.Our terms and policies, which may be found on our site, specifically include a section regarding typographical and programming errors.Unfortunately, in the digital age, these issues present themselves, and we try to correct the situations as reasonably as possible This situation is no different than airline ticket pricing incorrectly, home stores incorrectly pricing lawn chairs, or other retail on line merchants having check out/shopping cart issues.If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at any time.Marshall K***317-328-

Customer purchased flooring from us on or about March 6, 2015. Material purchased was sold AS-IS with NO WARRANTY and NO RETURN. We’ve included a copy of our fact sheet from which the customer purchased their material, clearly indicating – in a clear, easily identifiable language - that the material...

was sold AS-IS with NO WARRANTY and NO RETURN. Customer purchased CABIN GRADE material,that by definition includes material that is blemished, discolored, short boards, and other “defects” that should not be inherent within first quality, warranted material. On the product page, from which the customer ordered their material, there are 2 specific links where they can view our complete description of CABIN GRADE material(s). Further, we even include a video on the product page that identifies some of the features that may be found within that grade of material. We have included a copy of our cabin grade description material that is available by “clicking” on the identified link with this letter.Customer indicates that the actual received material is not like the sample they ordered. The material we use for samples comes right from the material that is shipped to us by the manufacturer. We do not use “special” sample materials to be sent out. Customer also indicates that they “paid” for the samples (multiple products selected). While they paid originally, the price of the samples in the amount of $15.00 was deducted from their final payment. The customer acknowledged our complete terms of sale by clicking on the “I agree” box before checking out. One of these terms is our return policy on AS-IS material – there is no return! We’ve included a copy of our policies and a sample checkout screen with this letter. Our check out screen FULLY COMPLIES with the CARD ACCEPTANCE GUIDELINES FOR VISA MERCHANTS publication (©by Visa 2015), section entitled Visa Rules for Returns, Exchanges and Cancellations (contained with Section 1, pages 16 and 17- section Internet or Application), copy of these 2 pages are included herewith as well. As a matter of customer service, we offered the customer our first quality return policy, which is the return of unopened material, with the customer paying the return freight and a 15% restocking charge. We also offered to accept return of the opened cartons, with final credit on those cartons to be determined once they are received. Since we sell the material by the carton, with a certain amount of square footage, we have to determine (if we can) that the correct square footage is within those cartons. From the information you have provided, the customer is unwilling to accept that offer. Based on all of the details and explanations provided, it is our opinion that the customer has been allowed ample return provisions outside of our normal terms of sale for AS-IS with NO WARRANTY and NO RETURN material. Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.They claim that its the consumers fault, that I misread an ad or that I misinterpreted an ad but as a Michigan resident, consumers are protected by both federal and state laws that make it illegal for companies to make and use misleading ads. The ads were completely misleading. Since I got all three advertised savings applied to my order, there is no way I was misinterprting or misreading the ads. I got exactly what the site said I would get. I received 50% off, Free shipping, and a 10 cent discount, which is exactly what was advertised all over the site. I was completely mislead by their bait and switch ads. In the message they say "The customer is also correct that there is a message bar at the top of the page indicating a $.10 discount on regularly priced merchandise.  Had the checkout worked properly either for the customer or as coded/written, the customer would have been able to enter the coupon code for the $.10 discount."Which I was able to. I received both the 50% off and 10 cent discount on my order and since I ordered enough of the product I got free shipping. I did get the 10 cent discount in additon to the advertised 50% off. "Our site had a temporary bug/glitch and gave the improper total for the customer’s order." No it did not, it was clearly the correct total order. 50% off + 10 cent discount in additon to the free shipping.Mohawk Eastridge 5" Golden Oak Engineered Hardwood Flooring - Carton - $1.59 MK34623-20 25 $1,122.94Percentage Off - Discount - No - $0.00 DISCOUNTOFF 1 -$561.47Subtotal $561.47Discount (FLOORING) (0.1000) -$70.75Shipping & Handling $0.00Tax $0.00Grand Total $490.72 The math clearly checks out.
