[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: When I first road tested the truck I had suspicions of a transmission problem so I brought a 2nd mechanic back and the Transmission did not act up at allAfter purchasing the truck it started acting up again, I called the West Auto sales and they stated it could be in the tuning of the computer, I checked with multiple tuning companies (i.e [redacted] ) they informed me that a flare up between 3rd and 4th gear cannot be fixed with any tuningI was told to check the condition of the transmission fluid and change the fluidWhen I ( [redacted] from [redacted] ***) went to drain the transmission fluid the transmission drain plug was not torqued properly the breakaway torque for transmission drain plug was at 12NM (breakaway torque is the torque it takes to break the bolt loose) the factory torque spec is 18NM which means someone else was in their prior to purchasing the truckWhen draining the fluid I found clutch material in the fluid (pics and video enclosed) the transmission fluid did not smell burnt and the amount of friction material in the fluid indicated the transmission is shotI believe the fluid was changed and possibly had an additive like [redacted] “ [redacted] ***” put in it so it would stop slipping so they can sell the truckWhen I spoke to [redacted] from [redacted] and showed him the pictures he confirmed the transmission is shot due to all the clutch material in the fluidPer *** [redacted] 's request I dropped the pan and found a good amount of clutch material in the bottom of the pan (example: black material in bottom of silver pan in picture) This does not happen over a short period of time I drove only miles and I am greatly unsatisfied Lou stated he spoke to [redacted] his transmission person and Lou agreed he would pay $1,towards [redacted] doing the work but [redacted] would only warranty for monthsHow can [redacted] from [redacted] give an estimate on what it will cost to fix the transmission and provide a warranty period if I never brought the truck there and if he did not see or drive the truck beforeIf he did see the truck to check the transmission it was brought there prior to my purchase that would mean West Auto Sales was well aware of the transmission problem and sold it to us anywayOriginally when looking into how much a new transmission with torque converter for the truck with labor and fluid it was estimated about $8,To have it fixed correctly *** [redacted] is able to rebuild the transmission for $and will provide a year unlimited mileage warrantyI do not feel that I should have to have pay to rebuild a transmission on a truck I purchased for $32,after only driving miles Regards, [redacted]

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I understand you guys tried to fix the vehicle, but the fact it took three weeks for the vehicle to be fixed is a problemI went up to the dealership three times in one day because your "team" told me my car was fixed still with no oil in it, coolant leaking from the vehicle(have videos) for the same repeated issueIm believe who ever wrote this statement was not in fact there either time I was at the dealership, I never disrespected your whole team but I was highly upset with your payment lady because of her rude attitude with me and my sisterIn fact I have the conversation recorded, nor did I threaten to burn down anythingThe statement you made is in fact the same staement she saidMy car was not in default when I attempted to pick up my vehicle it was due on that day, so how is that a default? If I put my down payment on 3/16/and my payment was due on 4/7/It was there fro 3/21/up until the 7thWhy would I pay for that? Your employe's are rude, they will sell you anything just to male a quick buck, and you only have ONE MechanicI would like my down payment back on a faulty vehicle Regards, [redacted]
