Wanted to report a fake collection agency, West Bay for Medical bill I thought I needed to pay. I was told that the debt could be settled for $952 if I paid using a green dot money card purchased from Walmart. I told them that I was on medicare and thought there was no outstanding debts. They told me it was for my co-pay balance from being in the hospital. I have been in and out of the hospital a few years ago and told the caller a few years ago. When I explained to the caller I just didn't have that kind of money, they asked if I could pay $700? I told them that was all I could afford and was told to wire the funds using money gram. I stated that I didn't know how to wire money. I was told to go to the local drug store or carry out, they would walk me through what I needed to do and the money was sent. I went to her local drug store to do what I was told. Later on I called the phone number given to see if they received the funds and it was disconnected or no longer in service. The funds were wired to a 876 prefix she states. I waited 3 days after speaking to a friend to contact Revdex.com as I realized that I was possibly scammed.
