Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below The reason for this complaint is due to the fact that I have had nothing but problems with the locomotive from West Bend Rail Shops from the day I bought itWhich dates back to January Dave has repeatedly "fixed" the issue going back to June I am no longer interested in hearing how he can "fix" it againI would just like my money backThe price for the locomotive was $3,plus $for the stand to put it onFor a total of $I put $4,on the complain because I thought it came out to that exact amountBut after checking my records, it was a little less I believe since I have been dealing with these issues for over a year and a half now, this is a very valid complaintI have been very patient and understanding of the issues But enough is enough already And as you can see in [redacted] reply to the complaint, he continues to attach me by saying I didn't keep it charged and that I'm doing this to raise money for personal issuesI have always followed the directions for charging the batteriesAnd if it were truly fixed, he wouldn't be recommending a cutoff switch to stop the sound card from drawing electricity even when the locomotive is turned off already Or suggesting that I should leave it charging all the time when it's not in use I also find his response attacking my personal life very unprofessionalMy personal life isn't the issue hereI did not file this complaint for money I make just under $100k a year If it were for money, I'd just take him to Small Claims court I filed this complaint for the simple reason that his product hasn't worked from day one and I'm tired of hearing about how he's going to fix it Please see attachments showing emails going back to when I brought the Switcher home and had issues with it right away I also have all the emails going back to before we bought the Switcher Let me know if you have any questions or would like those emails Regards, [redacted]

I am writing about complaint # *** from *** *** of a custom built 1:scale locomotiveHe had issues with it that was taken care of over the winter
Both were minor electrical relatedWe had to change out a voltage regulator which corrected the headlight issueThe other problem is taken care of by changing settings with a laptop computer plugged into the sound system cardWe did make a setting and returned it in working order to our club track where it was used at the end of JuneI contacted *** to come out and run itHe came out on 8-9-and the small battery was deadWhen he purchased the locomotive he was told that all batteries must be charged once a monthHe has not followed maintenance instructionsI contacted the builder of my electrical components and he wants to add a feature to avoid anymore electric draw when locomotive is turned offI have tried to work with *** to resolve the issues and told him repairs would be done at no charge just like the last oneWe stand behind our products and have built about locomotives that are running wellI also find it kind of strange that he is trying to claim $4,for a item he only paid $3,The locomotive stand was purchased at a later date and has no issues so not sure what the claim isI have been told he is going through a serious family matter and I feel he is trying to use this issue to raise cash for himI have offered him to help find a buyer for the locomotive .I have all the contact e-mails with him if you would likeIf you have any questions or need more information, please feel free to contact meAll of this over a $electrical part. Thanks,

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The reason for this complaint is due to the fact that I have had nothing but problems with the locomotive from West Bend Rail Shops from the day I bought it. Which dates back to January 2013. Dave has repeatedly "fixed" the issue going back to June 2013. I am no longer interested in hearing how he can "fix" it again. I would just like my money back. The price for the locomotive was $3,700 plus $211.46 for the stand to put it on. For a total of $3911.46. I put $4,000 on the complain because I thought it came out to that exact amount. But after checking my records, it was a little less.
I believe since I have been dealing with these issues for over a year and a half now, this is a very valid complaint. I have been very patient and understanding of the issues.  But enough is enough already.  And as you can see in [redacted] reply to the complaint, he continues to attach me by saying I didn't keep it charged and that I'm doing this to raise money for personal issues. I have always followed the directions for charging the batteries. And if it were truly fixed, he wouldn't be recommending a cutoff switch to stop the sound card from drawing electricity even when the locomotive is turned off already.  Or suggesting that I should leave it charging all the time when it's not in use.
I also find his response attacking my personal life very unprofessional. My personal life isn't the issue here. I did not file this complaint for money.  I make just under $100k a year.  If it were for money, I'd just take him to Small Claims court.
I filed this complaint for the simple reason that his product hasn't worked from day one and I'm tired of hearing about how he's going to fix it.  Please see attachments showing emails going back to when I brought the Switcher home and had issues with it right away.  I also have all the emails going back to before we bought the Switcher.  Let me know if you have any questions or would like those emails.

I do not understand what he wants me to do. He will not like me fix it or find a buyer for it. Not much more I can do for him. He is the only one I ever had problems with.

If this is such an easy fix, why have we been going back and forth for a year and a half on this issue?  I'm not interested in having him supposedly fix it again.  I've been dealing with this way too long.
I can see this isn't going anywhere.  Just like the rest of my dealings on this.  I'll just fix it and sell it myself.
If nothing else, I just hope my posting to the Revdex.com will serve as a warning to any new person to this hobby looking into this business before purchasing something.
