While the facts presented by West Broad Anesthesia are not completely accurate, I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID #####, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me I DID receive bills from [redacted] and contacted them a number of times between January and July regarding their support of HCAP (which they failed to honor), and the hardship discharge from [redacted] and [redacted] ***Each call I am sure was recorded "for training purposes" at [redacted] and should be reviewed and verified to show that I was attempting to find out a resolution to the billing and after the payment terms were arranged with [redacted] the number of unreturned calls/messages I made trying to find out how to pay my first payment arrangement The problem was not a failure of my paying, it was a failure of [redacted] responding to me to let me know HOW to pay! Further, I have a voicemail on my answering machine from the [redacted] person stating that I can do a $75/month payment plan and that she had authorized it, so when YOUR collection company called me a liar on the telephone, I would like an apology from themI still have her message saved on tape Hopefully this will help future patients not have to go through this craziness that I went through Regards, [redacted] ***

[redacted] I am in receipt of your letter dated 7/10/2014, regarding the [redacted] [redacted] complaint filed in your office [redacted] underwent a surgical procedure at [redacted] on 12/12/ [redacted] ***, a member of West Broad Anesthesia, Inc., provided the anesthesia for this procedureThe patient's financial status at that time was listed as "self pay"The surgeon who performed the surgery is employed by the hospitalApparently, sometime after the procedure the hospital agreed to write off the cost of his care as well as the surgeons fee as the surgeon is employed by the hospitalWest Broad Anesthesia is an independent provider of anesthesia services far [redacted] Our income is derived from fees we submit and collect from the company (***) we contract with to bill for our anesthesia servicesHealthcare law mandates that a bill be sent to every patient [redacted] sends out a bill for our anesthesia servicesThey will send a bill to the patient different timesIf they have not received any payments from the patient months after the procedure, the patient bill is turned over to a coflection agency ( [redacted] )The patient bill was discounted from $to $2217, a 50% discountUnfortunately, [redacted] made no payments on the discounted billWhen he contacted [redacted] in late June, he was told he could make monthly payments (no interest) on his bill to the collection agency He was told that [redacted] could not make the collections since his account was already sent to [redacted] The one payment he sent to [redacted] in late June was sent to the collection agencyI spoke with the collection agency and I am forwarding a letter to you which they are sending to the patient indicating they have set up a payment plan of $75/month to be paid by the 28th of every monthIf he fails to make any payments as agreed to, [redacted] will follow their protocol regarding the balance of the billI urge [redacted] to work closely with [redacted] so there will be no other questions regarding his bill I hope this clarifies any misunderstanding regarding [redacted] ***'s anesthesia bill [redacted]
