West Brothers Ford Inc Reviews (4)

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/07/27) */
6/5/the *** purchased a Ford Escape along with getting GAP insurance and an extended service contract6/25/the *** traded the Escape in on a Buick LaCrosse, cancelled their GAP and Service contract on the Escape and
used that money as money down to finance the Buick
The *** still had not paid their sales tax or registered their Escape when making this transaction7/21/West Brothers went ahead and paid the sales tax on the Escape so that this transaction could be completed, the *** refused to pay the original sales tax and nothing was getting accomplished
Once West Brothers receives the title on the Escape they will recieve the title on the Buick
The *** did not purchase an extended service contract on the Buick as they state, the current repairs were done at no charge to them

[redacted] orchestrated a Goodwill repair for the complainant. The vehicle was towed in to our dealership with a total mileage of 328,531 on a 2000 model Dodge Dakota to have a rear main engine seal leak corrected. We had neither diagnosed nor had this vehicle visited us prior for any...

service work. The vehicle was also unable to start, as described by the owner as being out of engine timing. The vehicle also had non functioning brakes. Both concerns were declined to be addressed by the owner of the vehicle. 05/24/2017 Diagnosis revealed that the owner had installed an engine and transmission assembly. Several components were installed incorrectly, namely the oil filter housing installed upside down causing the engine oil leak. Pictures were taken and given to [redacted] for documentation purposes. They asked us to replace the engine seal regardless for customer satisfaction. We obliged their request. The owner of the vehicle stopped in to check on the repairs and advised us not to start the engine as it was out of timing, the auto transmission had no fluid in it, and the brakes had not been bled or properly installed. Arrangements were made to have the vehicle towed to the owners house after repairs.05/30/2017 the vehicle was delivered to the owner of the vehicle. 05/31/2017 the owner called stating that he had tried starting the vehicle and it had caught fire from a fuel leak. The owner was advised that vehicle was far from road worthy and the only item addressed out of several was an oil leak. The owner stated he would contact the news and an attorney regarding. 06/01/2017 I was contacted by [redacted] asking if we would assist them with their customer with repairs. An agreement between the Dealer and [redacted] was made for [redacted] to supply parts at no cost and the Dealer labor at no cost. [redacted] contacted their customer and made arrangements, but he did accept the offer until the following week. 06/07/2017 a tow vehicle was sent for the vehicle but was refused for pick up as the owner of the vehicle was extremely belligerent to the tow truck operator. Once again the owner called threatening contact a news station and attorneys. I relayed to him that everyone involved was offering him assistance and he should accept and make this transaction a smooth one.06/12/2017 the vehicle was town to the Dealership. 06/13/2017 the vehicle owner was at the dealership at 8am demanding a meeting between [redacted], myself, and the Dealership owner. He was advised that no such meeting would take place. He also stated that he would be in the shop with the technician filming/recording repairs. He was explained that none of his requests were valid and would not happen. The dealership then handed him his keys and Contacted [redacted] to let them know we would no longer be involved with repairs to this vehicle.I have included pics of the improper install of the oil filter housing and cause of customers oil leak. I would also like to note that I have only referred to [redacted] as our customer in this matter. Thank you
