Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2016/07/12) */ We are a private property impound companyThose who get their vehicle's towed for unlawful parking on private party are very rare satisfied in our services, due to their vehicle getting impoundedAs well offenders are always falsely accusing our company of damaging their vehicle in the attempt to not have to pay or get a refund for having their vehicle impounded The process we tow vehicles is that we put most vehicles on a dolly system so NO wheels of the vehicle touch the ground while in motionThis type of towing allows us not to have to make entry into the vehicle and/or touch the vehicle less only the tiresAt the time the vehicle was released, inspected and driven off property the complainant did not mention any damage to her vehicleThe person even signed our towing invoice that clearly states they release us of any damages once they received their vehicleIn the damage the complainant is mentioning, you would notice that type of damage in driving the vehicle a few feetThe vehicle would not drive properHowever, the complainant made no mention of damage at the time of release and inspection as well signed our towing invoice

I called them and scheduled a 2:car pick up from the portThey never showed upI called them from a different number cuz they won't answer when I called from my cell, the guy said I thought you said o'clock, someone is on the wayI waited another half hour no one showed upI tried calling again many more times they never answeredMy husband called them from his cell, the guy answered the phone and said I don't know what your talking about, you dialed a wrong numberThe port closed at 3:and I never got my car picked upWill never use these guys horrible service

I completely understand getting your vehicle towed for violation of private property rules and or law is very frustrating Where there is a lot of confusion within this system with Revdex.com, with all due respect, you are not our customer or clientOur clients are the property owners who are
mandated by law to follow certain laws and rules on their propertyIn your complaint you stated the person on the phone stated you need an appointment for after hour releasesThen you stated the manager had to beg to get your vehicle released todayThey kind of contradict themselvesYou see the law states we have to release vehicles Monday through Friday am to pm regular business hoursAs well if a violator wishes to have their vehicle released after hours it is at our description (The Towing Company) to release the vehicle, as well if we do we can charge an after ours fee for having to call staff in to release after hoursThe only time we as a company would refuse an after hours release is if the person trying to set the appointment becomes too hostile over the phone or makes threatsAt that point it becomes a safety issue to release a vehicle with minimal staffingSo in these cases we refer them to be released the next business hours where we have full staffIn your statement as well it appears your stating what rule you violated to get the vehicle towed. Frustrating as it is, the tow company, the driver nor the person on the phone caused the vehicle to be parked in violation of the rulesWe just removed the vehicle for being in violation of the rules set by the property owner

West Coast towing is private property impound towing companyThat is owned under a corporation and ran by prior law enforcement and security professionals that would not jeopardize their state licensing to perform an unlawful towIn our
operations we follow the strict guidelines under the California Vehicle Code section that governs our duties and responsibilities in our servicesThe properties we provide towing services to we have a written agreement and a list of their parking rules and regulations in which we tow fromOur clients/customers are the property owners and their agents
In regards to this complaint, the complainant is accusatory and being miss-leadingHe was unhappy because we where going to legally tow his vehicle for a parking violationThe apartment complex where the complainant said his vehicle was legally parked has strict parking rules and requirements on where and how your parking passes is suppose to be posted and visible within the parked vehicleWhen the complainant came into contact with our driver his vehicle was already connected to the tow truck and ready to tow (Basically in-tow ready)
The complainant demeanor was hostile and argumentative while using profanity, as well getting into the driver's face in a confrontational mannerMy driver was polite but firm and advised the complainant the vehicle was in-tow and he would be willing to drop the vehicle for our standard fee of $The complainant attempted to manipulate the towing equipment to release his vehicleThe driver responsibility is to maintain the integrity and safety of the truck and/or any vehicle that may be attached to the truck via the boomOur driver explained to the complainant he needed to calm down and not touch the company equipment so they could work out an arrangement to drop the vehicle for him so it would not have to be towed to our yard, which would be an added expenseIn this process our driver has to verify the person he is talking too is the registered owner, so he can verify he is releasing the vehicle to the proper person, which is a requirementFor that process to happen the complainant had to calm downOnce the complainant calmed down our driver was able to perform the service and release the vehicle
Our phone service goes directly to the owner or office managerOur policy is to never hang up on a person callingHowever, if a person calling is being hostile, or using profanity or threatening our staff on the phone they are trained to let the person on the phone know they will be disconnecting the line and for the caller to call back when they calm down so we can resolve or assist in any issues they may haveThe complainant was never sent to voicemail nor hung up on according to our records and speaking with staffNot answering the line would cause a loss of business for our company

West Coast towing is under new ownership and is no longer owned by *** ***
Our company services over private property complexes in the enforcement of their parking violationsWe diligently work with the property management as well
as security that are on the complex groundsThe complex where Ms*** resides is next to Fresno State and was built to house college studentsThe complex has very strict parking rules to keep the parking area clear for tenantsAt the time the leases are signed all tenants are provided and made aware of the strict parking rules with zero toleranceAlong with our drivers are trained to look inside the vehicle and if a permit is visible even on the floor they are not to tow itIf there is no permit visible per our agreement with the complex we are required to tow the vehicle off property
In regards to Ms***'s vehicle there was no permit showing at the time of towing her vehicleThe driver had taken pictures of her vehicle prior to towing it to indicate there was no permitThis is done on every tow to have proof if so requestedAs far as Ms***'s claims of our employee being rude, our office is video and audio recordedOn the date her vehicle was released our employee was courteous and polite to Ms***He offered her explanation on why her vehicle was towed and solutions in the future to keep from getting towed againShe asked for a discount due to not being able to pay her rentOur employee followed our policies and procedures in not being allowed to negotiate rates for impounded vehiclesOur rates are non-negotiable for the simple fact it would not be fair and equal to all whom we tow vehicles fromIf we where to give Ms*** a discount on her vehicle we would have had to give everyone else who was towed a discountWest Coast Towing is one of the lowest priced impound yards in the City of Fresno, with our competitors charging much moreIf Ms*** would have followed the complex parking rules she would not of had her vehicle towed and stored with our companyIf the property managers felt we had towed her vehicle in error or wanted to give her a break they would of called us to release her vehicle free of charge as we have done in the past to assist per their requestHowever, if the person being towed was in the wrong the property manager would not request the release
In the business of impounding peoples vehicles from private property, seldom are the people being towed are happy or have good things to say about the tow company that had towed themHowever, our property management companies and managers are very pleased with our services in keeping their parking free for their tenants to have adiquiate parking

As always when it come to complaints with towing our clients and customers are the owners or agents of the private property we servicesNot the person who has their vehicle towed for violating the parking rules of the private property. In this complaint the property they reside they have rules
that no vehicle can be parked on property without a permitWe as a towing company give for the property we are required to remove vehicles that have no permits per the property agentThere are signs posted at each entrance stating the rules as well a part of all tenants leasesIn the complaint they stated they violated the property rules by parking the vehicle on private property with no permit displayedWhich displaying of the permit is mandatory on property to park a vehicle

We completely understand the frustration of having your vehicle towed for being in violation of private property rules and or law. However, where there is misunderstanding within the Revdex.com process. The person who had their vehicle towed is not our client or customer. The owner of the private property...

is our client and customer. With that said, if your statements where true and we violated the law. Law Enforcement would have stepped in and done their duty. However, once law enforcement found we have followed all towing laws and regulations within our industry your complaint to them does become civil As always we follow the guidelines set forth for our industry as well the requests of our clients the property owners.  The rules the property owners place on their parking is usually laws set for them to follow by the state. If they do not they can be fined. The reason why we perform our services.

I am rejecting this response because:My vehicle was never ticketed or cited in any way. Never any notice to have the vehicle moved. I had permission from property owners to have the vehicle parked in the location it was in. West coast pulled a snatch and grab.

We are a private property impound company. Those who get their vehicle's towed for unlawful parking on private party are very rare satisfied in our services, due to their vehicle getting impounded. As well offenders are always falsely accusing...

our company of damaging their vehicle in the attempt to not have to pay or get a refund for having their vehicle impounded.
The process we tow vehicles is that we put most vehicles on a dolly system so NO wheels of the vehicle touch the ground while in motion. This type of towing allows us not to have to make entry into the vehicle and/or touch the vehicle less only the tires. At the time the vehicle was released, inspected and driven off property the complainant did not mention any damage to her vehicle. The person even signed our towing invoice that clearly states they release us of any damages once they received their vehicle. In the damage the complainant is mentioning, you would notice that type of damage in driving the vehicle a few feet. The vehicle would not drive proper. However, the complainant made no mention of damage at the time of release and inspection as well signed our towing invoice.
