Ms. [redacted] came and stood in the doorway of my business and asked if she could use the restroom. Seeing as she did not come in to my business, as a customer normally would, I told her it was for customers only (as is our policy). Another...
customer then welcomed her to use the restroom and I allowed her to as not to cause a scene. She returned from the restroom and began berating me, saying that she was there as a customer, to drink wine, and I do not know how to run a business or treat customers. She would not drop the topic and continued trying to instigate an argument with me. She was making other guests, including the couple that she was sitting next to, uncomfortable, so I refused her service and asked her to leave. Contrary to Ms. [redacted]'s claim, there were other women in my business at the time.
I have security cameras in my business that will confirm: 1) Ms. [redacted] stood in the doorway asking to use the restroom; 2) I did in fact let her use the restroom without issue; 3) I remained composed throughout the time she was in my establishment, and calmly denied her service and asked her to leave when she became disruptive; and 4) there were other women in my business at the time in question.
Later, someone purporting to be Ms.[redacted]'s husband called my business repeatedly. When I spoke to him he told me that I should have allowed Ms. [redacted] to use our restroom because she was pregnant.
I take extreme offense to Ms. [redacted]'s statements about me and my business. Her statements are false and defamatory. There has never been any "rat feces" anywhere in my business. My wife and I work very hard to maintain a very clean establishment and we take pride in it. I have monthly service reports from my contracted exterminator that show there have never been any issues with rats. And the "severe drug issue" comment only confirms the lack of validity and defamatory tone of Ms. [redacted]'s claims.
I understand that sometimes there are misunderstandings. I am happy to offer an apology to Ms. [redacted] so long as she agrees to refrain from making defamatory statements about me and my business, and remove her negative "reviews" from public internet sites.
