This letter is in regards to the recent complaint filed by *** *** *** dated October 18, We take our patient concerns very seriously and strive to serve each of our patients with the highest quality dental care.On January 8, 2014, *** *** began crown treatment at West Falls Church
Dental and received her permanent crown seated on January 22, Patient has dental insurance with GEHA and through communication with them, we uncovered they were unable to pay the expected $due to insufficient informationThrough the appeal process with GEHA our practice provided the information that we felt was efficient but still received no paymentTo further support *** ***'s treatment, we have resubmitted the claim again to appeal the $payment previously received for treatment our provider felt was necessaryWe are more than happy to also provide these claims to the patient to also submit and discuss with her insurance company directly.A month following *** ***'s crown appointment, we saw her children for Interceptive Ortho Treatment*** *** paid in full the amount of $for her children's treatment, of which we had given a discounted price knowing that they would be leaving the country in a month timeframeWe are an OON provider so we submitted our full fees to insurance for both Children but only received a payment of $We are in the process of refunding the patient the difference of what she paid out of pocket, along with $of what was paid to the patient due to the Interceptive Ortho not fully being completed at West Falls Church Dental.We sincerely apologize that *** *** has gone through this situation and appreciate the opportunity to assist *** ***'s and her familyIn sum, we are confident we met the standard of care *** ***'s visitIf further information is needed please reach out to me at *** *** and I would be happy to assist.Respectfully,Kelly F*Practice Administrator
