When *** *** first contacted our office to again establish as a client and get prescription refills, she was advised that because of the bankruptcy and the old debt that had not been paid by her or her insurance company that we would not be able to see her as a patient She understood
that and offered to "make it right" We spoke in length regarding the dates of service in question and the amounts owed for each visit She assured me that she would contact *** & *** regarding the claims and who was responsible for the payments.I never told the patient that she owed $1,The next time I spoke with the Patient she assured me that she had contacted *** and they were going to pay on one of the claims they originally denied I explained to the patient that I had not received anything from the insurance company and that she could not be seen until I had received the payment Again, she claimed she understood thisAll monies owed by the Patient and/or her insurance companies were written off as "bad debt" in February of this year, and no further attempts by our office were made to collect any additional funds from the client or her insurance companiesI am sorry that I could not be available to speak with the client every time she called or when she came in with another Patient

The Patient is mistaken regarding the first mention of Bankruptcy, she is the one who mentioned it on our first conversation.  Per our receptionist, she even mentioned to him that it was brought up in her first conversation with me.  But that is not even the point. It is clear that this matter can not be resolved to the Patient's satisfaction when both parties have a such a different recollection of conversations. I wish her well.

That is an all out lie! The bankruptcy didn't come up until yesterday in ANY communication, when, I informed the receptionist over the phone. Emily and I NEVER spoke about the bankruptcy. I contacted my insurance, as Emily felt it was my responsibility, but, she would not even talk to me so I could let her know. The whole response from the business is a fabrication. This is a horrible business practice. The only reason the bankruptcy was brought up in their response is because I told the receptionist about it YESTERDAY, and my exact words were YESTERDAY, was that I was trying to make things right. My only balance should be $25 or so dollars. Not $300 some dollars. Not my responsibility to pay when my insurance should be billed. The bankruptcy was never brought up from them, other than from me, YESTERDAY.
