IT TOOK THE OWNER SEVERAL WEEKS TO RETURN MY CALLS. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, POOR WORKMANSHIP. I HAVE A BLACK CHAIN LINK FENCE AND THEY DIDNT ORDER THE RIGHT GATES SO THEY SPRAY PAINTED A LOT OF BLACK. ITS ONLY BEEN A FEW MONTHS AND PAINT IS ALREADY PEELING. I RECEIVED A LETTER OF COMPLAINT FROM THE TOWN HALL , THEY PUT THE FENCE ON MY NEIGHBORS PROPERTY,WHICH THE OWNER BEN WILL NOT RECTIFY. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS!!
Review: Upon installation of my fence, the installer put a large hole in my septic tank. I had discussed the issue of the septic tank with the owner of the company MANY times from the time we first met until the day the fence was being installed. I had told him I only knew the approximate location of the tank and was unable to get more detail. He said not to worry they are usually buried deep, I told him the one thing I knew for sure was that it was not buried deep. He assured me they would be careful. Not only were they not careful, but the installer (who was only using a manual post hole digger) had to remove several scoops of concrete before making the actual hole! Clearly he was not paying attention at all. The tank needed to be replaced at a cost of almost $5,000. When I discussed the financials with [redacted] he yelled at me and told me he couldn't afford that. He also said the contract I signed specifically said they were not liable. The contract states they are not liable for damage to underground pipes and wires, a septic tank is neither of those things. Ultimately, I had to go through my homeowners insurance in order to get the new tank installed and the fence installation completed on a timely basis. My deductible was $1,000 and my insurance company was unable to recover it from West Hartford Fence.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed for the $1,000 out of my own pocket I spent to have my septic tank replaced
