My employer, ***, partnered with this bank for our Health Savings AccountOther than automated deposits made into the account, I only use the online services once each spring when I make withdrawals to account for the previous year's medical expensesUsually, the amount exceeds my employer's medical deductibleThis fact, combined with health expenses not covered by my medical plan, typically entitles me to around $4K or moreI use the bank-to-bank transfer to have the money sent to ***, where I do my personal banking
The bank places limits on the amount that can be withdrawn per hour period and the number of withdrawals per weekThis is certainly understandableHowever, despite my complaints requesting that this information be posted more prominently on the website, no action has been taken
Furthermore, I keep meticulous records of my bank account numbers, log in IDs, pin #s, passwords, etcWhen I have a problem logging in, I expect quick service to resolve the problemOr course, it's understandable that a financial institution's policy is to only do so over the phoneIf that's the case, I expect the bank to have online banking telephone support on weekends as does ***It confounds me that the bank just recently offered investment options for HSA accounts but can't provide basic service
United Bank is a local institution headquartered here in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where my university is locatedAt this time, I have not other HSA choiceThis is unfortunate, and I hope the university will provide other options in the future
