Review: I bought my wedding dress from this shop in August and was told dress alterations generally range from $80 to $160. I go in in April (they suggested to come a few months before the wedding, which is in June). They pin my dress up and plan to do all kinds of alterations and then once I have agreed with what they did they come out with the cost: $460! $300 higher than their previous top estimate. Feeling stressed about the amount of time left before the wedding, I decided to bite the bullet and go along with it. I went today to pick it up and they added $40 onto the cost for an alteration they had already done without asking me first! On top of that, the dress still did not fit completely right but they spent the whole time asking me to add cups (more money) or stuff to fix it. I declined and am going to take my dress elsewhere to get it fixed. I am not sure what else I should have done, but hopefully this complaint to you is enough to show how wronged I feel I was.Desired Settlement: I am not sure if I chose the correct option from the pull down menu, but I just don't want this to happen to anyone else and I would like the business to be instructed/investigated to prevent this from happening in the future. Possibly the creation of up front contracts on alterations that bind the business to not charge anything further, or to contact the dress owner if they do. And a handout that details the costs of alterations before the customer agrees to come in for alterations.

I was called by the business while at work and saw the message through the Revdex.com system. In my original request, I do not state anything about fixing my dress as what I want to come out of this. While their response is a nice offer, it was not what I asked for. I am already getting my dress altered by another place because I am so uncomfortable with Sealed With A Kiss. I definitely showed dissatisfaction with the dress fit, and only left without them addressing it because I did not want to pay any money (the offer of fixing it for free was not on the table when I was there). They tried to get me to purchase $16 tape, which I found overpriced and declined. I do not want them to fix my dress, but I want them to have a better system of handling alterations. Being told a potential number of $160 in September 2015 to someone coming out behind a curtain with the price of $460 was shocking and I felt too uncomfortable to express my distain with it, which is why I am doing so in writing. They should also mention that it is likely that the alterations price will increase after the original amount you agree to. I saved up money to prepare for my $300 increase from the budget I had for alterations, and was blindsided with $40 extra. I know now I should not have agreed to $460 in the first place, but I never agreed to $500 until the new alteration was already completed and I felt as though I owed it and could not contest it by the way it was handled.
