Mr [redacted] purchased this used Focus from us on 3/26/The vehicle had 28,miles and was still covered by factory warrantyThe customer also chose an extended service plan from our dealershipThe car was brought in for service on 11/09/for concern with " shutter on acceleration and noise coming from rear area." There were some clutch, transmission issues that he had that were covered on warrantyWe advised customer that we could not diagnose the noise, vibration from rear, as we felt it was related to the tiresThe repair order says the car now has 46,miles ( customer now says we sold him a car with bad tiresmiles later.) The customer asked to speak with me, he said he did not want to put money into tires as he contemplated tradingBut he wanted the 'vibration, noise' correctedI said that I would extend credit to him for tiresIf he traded cars with us I would absorb the cost, no cost to himIf he did not purchase another car and that solved the problem ,then he would pay for the tireHe agreed verbally to me as well as to Bud [redacted] , Service Advisor, on the phoneThe total cost to customer was $ deductible plus $ for agreed upon tires, install, alignment. The customer was provided a no cost loaner car while their car was in our shopAll of the alleged $ in repairs were covered by Ford and service contract companyThe customer had zero expense except for deductible and agreed upon tires.I made a few calls to see when mrSell could come in to discuss purchase optionsAfter a couple missed appointments and no seemingly real interest, I then asked him to make payment for the tires as agreedAt that time his memory was not as good and he started telling me how he got ripped off, his relatives got ripped off, he had no intention of buying a car here, etcAnd he was not going to pay the billI told him I would pursue collection and turn over to attorney, or I would offer assistance for prompt paymenthe asked what I could offer I offered a 10% discount for payment nowI offered to collect in installments as he said he did not have much room on his credit cardI gave him a day to decide what he wanted to doThat night, his wife left a nasty online review of our company as well as leaving me a nasty phone voice mail messageThis Revdex.com complaint is a response to a debt collection and has nothing to do with the performance of the car or our dealershipIf Mr [redacted] had further issues with his car, why would he not bring it back or inform us? If Mr [redacted] felt the tires did not cure his vibration/ noise issue, why did he not inform us and give us chance to correct it?We returned his car approximately Nov all fixed and repaired with new tiresNow, after two months I would like to collect what he owes usWhen I made that effort, all the made- up stuff startedI will honor the offer I extended of 10% discount, pay balance in installments, half now, half in daysFor prompt settlementOtherwise I will turn over to an Attorney for collection. All records are available as well as our notes of conversations with Mr [redacted] Should you need additional info, please let me know.Steve [redacted] Zumbrota Fordm###-###-####

At the end of the customers rant, he admits he needs to pay for the tiresIn addition to the tires, there is a $ deductible for his warranty repairs. We will waive the road hazard, although that was explained to him in the tire estimate.Zumbrota Ford will accept his offer to pay for tire, Oil Change and we request the $ deductible as wellWe will waive the road hazard insurance. This is strictly a delay and deflect tactic because we extended credit to the customer to try to solve his vibration issuesAgain, please note the miles driven before his claimed issues as well as miles driven on his original set of tires. If the customer pays what he suggested, we will be fine.Thank you, Steve [redacted] Zumbrota Ford

I am rejecting this response because:
Why would I pay a deductible on something that Steve *** had me buy so I didn't have a bill here and there for bringing my car into the shop, and if he would of looked at it more closely instead of turning me away every time I needed help while I was still under my factory warranty he wouldn't be trying to rip me off againI will not pay the $he is a crook just looking to make a buckI will start attaching everyone else's complaints so you can see what this man is capable of if I need to*** ***

Mr. [redacted] purchased this used 2014 Focus from us on 3/26/2016. The vehicle had 28,801 miles and was still covered by factory warranty. The customer also chose an extended service plan from our dealership. The car was brought in for service on 11/09/2016 for concern with " shutter on...

acceleration and noise coming from rear area." There were some clutch, transmission issues that he had that were covered on warranty. We advised customer that we could not diagnose the noise, vibration from rear, as we felt it was related to the tires. The repair order says the car now has 46,740 miles ( customer now says we sold him a car with bad tires...18000 miles later.) The customer asked to speak with me, he said he did not want to put money into tires as he contemplated trading. But he wanted the 'vibration, noise' corrected. I said that I would extend credit to him for tires. If he traded cars with us I would absorb the cost, no cost to him. If he did not purchase another car and that solved the problem ,then he would pay for the tire. He agreed verbally to me as well as to Bud [redacted], Service Advisor, on the phone. The total cost to customer was $ 100 deductible plus $ 667.67 for agreed upon tires, install, alignment. The customer was provided a no cost loaner car while their car was in our shop. All of the alleged $ 4000 in repairs were covered by Ford and service contract company. The customer had zero expense except for deductible and agreed upon tires.I made a few calls to see when mr. Sell could come in to discuss purchase options. After a couple missed appointments and no seemingly real interest, I then asked him to make payment for the tires as agreed. At that time his memory was not as good and he started telling me how he got ripped off, his relatives got ripped off, he had no intention of buying a car here, etc. And he was not going to pay the bill. I told him I would pursue collection and turn over to attorney, or I would offer assistance for prompt payment. he asked what I could offer.  I offered a 10% discount for payment now. I offered to collect in 2 installments as he said he did not have much room on his credit card. I gave him a day to decide what he wanted to do. That night, his wife left a nasty online review of our company as well as leaving me  a nasty phone voice mail message. This Revdex.com complaint is a response to a debt collection and has nothing to do with the performance of the car or our dealership. If Mr. [redacted] had further issues with his car, why would he not bring it back or inform us? If Mr. [redacted] felt the tires did not cure his vibration/ noise issue, why did he not inform us and give us chance to correct it?We returned his car approximately Nov 29 all fixed and repaired with new tires. Now, after two months I would like to collect what he owes us. When I made that effort, all the made- up stuff started. I will honor the offer I extended of 10% discount, pay balance in 2 installments, half now, half in 30 days. For prompt settlement. Otherwise I will turn over to an Attorney for collection. All records are available as well as our notes of conversations with Mr. [redacted] Should you need additional info, please let me know.Steve [redacted]Zumbrota Fordm. ###-###-####
