small business we were swamped and dropped the ball at getting back to him as soon we would have liked. When Joe did in fact go out to Mr. B[redacted] property to inspect the "burn" Joe quickly realized it wasn't due to our company installing the product which is what is warrantied. Joe called The Synthetic Grass Store to ask what their warranty entailed and Mrs. Pam Engbrocks asked for pictures. Below is her response.>> This is most definitely some sort of burn.  If not from a window, something else. The most common type of burn is from "window melt".  However it can happen from leaving something on the turf as well.  I've seen plastic toys, various plastic objects, metal objects, and yard equipment, to name a few, cause a a burn.  Unfortunately, as I mentioned this is not something that is covered under warranty.>> Thank  you,>> Pam>> Pam E[redacted]>> The Synthetic Grass Store>[redacted] [redacted]ne>> Phoenix, Az  85050>> ###-###-####>[redacted]

Clearly I should have vetted this company before hiring them.  The [redacted] Joe was a relative of a friend, so I unfortunately let friendship cloud my judgement rather than doing my due diligence in researching this company.  In doing my research after the fact, I discovered that  Joe's contractor's license has been [redacted] numerous times.  Their customer service is non existent; they don't return calls or messages unless you continually reach out to them.  Once they get your money for a completed job, they could care less about you.  And as evidenced by their reply to my complaint,  they have done whatever they can to avoid the responsibility of standing behind their work, rather than just resolving the issue and maintaining customer loyalty.  I was hoping this company would do the right thing by honoring their warranty and replacing the turf.  Instead they have chosen to avoid the problem as long as they could and then come up with outlandish scenarios to somehow try and put the cause of the damaged turf on me.  The bottom line is there are numerous reputable, honest landscaping companies out there that do good work and stand behind it, treating the customer with respect and fairness.  WestPoint Landscaping is not one of those.  They are about making a buck a nothing more.  Avoid them at all cost.
