Three weeks ago, I met with WestShore Home reps to discuss removal and installation of a new shower. Work was scheduled to proceed October 3rd. Since that time, I have a circumstance that will make this work financially impossible for me. I contacted them and requested a cancellation of the work, at this time.

I was told the only way it could be cancelled was for me to pay a 35% penalty ($3,232.60) !!!!!

He refused to make any concession, so I am FORCED to get the work done anyway. I told him my review of their company would not be favorable . . . he did not seem bothered at all by this. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY, unless you're certain that unpredictable life events will not inconvenience you.

My one day slider door and french door installation took 3 MONTHS to complete
Installation of doors occurred on 8may19. Failed inspection on 13may19 Installers came back to correct problems associated with the installation on 15may19 along with the companies foreman, who laid out pattern and drilled holes every 12 inches around the 3 new doors for hurricane blanket. Foreman told me blankets would be installed the following week. Weeks went by I never received any calls from the foreman regarding the delay. I finally had to contact the salesman to get the foreman to call me. Foreman told me on 22may19 he must have been calling the wrong telephone number. He told me they had received the hurricane blankets and they would be installed the following week. When that didn't happen I once again had to contact the salesman who told me the General Manager was taking control. GM called me on 7jun19 apologizing for the delays told me that I was priority number one and he was working on a refund for all the delays and the run around and completing the project ASAP. The GM called me once more on 14jun19 stating they were still waiting for the hurricane blankets, that's the last time I heard from him. Again I had to reach out to the salesman to get some action. Finally on 3jul19 the blankets were delivered but they didn't fit, they had to drill all new holes to be able to install them leaving 80 plus holes around my new doors. Passed inspection on 5jul19. Once again I had to contact the salesman to get them to comeback and fill all the holes attach trim and install screen doors, that sat in my bedroom for almost 3 months.
Worker showed up on 18jul19 and only filled the holes, even though I left the GM a voicemail the day before regarding all the work that still needed to be completed. Worker said no one told him about the screen door and trim work. So once again I had to contact my salesman to get someone from the company to complete the job. On 5aug19 workman came back to finally complete the job. The foreman and GM have no clue about customer service, if not for all my salesmans efforts I fear that this job would still be incomplete. Even though I paid the $18,730.00 bill in full on 8may19 it took until 5aug19 to get the job completed, they just don't care. Their commercials tout all the 5 star reviews they don't deserve even 1 star.. The GM and foreman need to receive extensive customer service training, or nothing will change for the positive at West Shore Home

Desired Outcome

I expect at least a 10-20 percent refund for this completely unsatisfactory experience, almost 90 days of inconveniece of having screen doors and trim sitting in my bedroom the entire time and total lack of professionalism by those incharge.

We have reached out to *** several Times and have sent him a settlement agreement which he has agreed to in exchange for a discount on the project. As soon as He returns the Settlement Agreement this case will have been settled which both parties agreed too

I will not accept the terms of this settlement, which are a joke. West Shore Homes GM wants me to sign a legal document giving up all my rights while they reserve the right to sue me in perpetuity. This document doesn't even have the correct project listed.It states that they replaced my main front entry door, which is completely inaccurate. Once again West Shore Homes GM shows a complete lack of competence about this botched job from start to finish or he just doesn't care. West Shore is obviously not interested in any kind of equitable resolution, they just want me to absolve them of any wrong doing so they can continue to promote their positive reviews. This company especially those in charge don't even deserve a 1 star rating out of 5 Keep the money West Shore, I prefer potential customers know the truth.... Caveat Emptor - Let the buyer beware....

The customer per the request asked for a 10-20% discount. we offered a 12% discount which was in the expected desire outcome. The legal document aka Settlement Agreement is standard practice. We have completed the contract and offered settlement

Ok I had my 11 new windows and door installed on July 2nd and the crew on the job very kind, informative and hard at work.
Results 1 window came cracked the guys circles it on took pics of it so it can reordered and replaced. The bedroom window cracked because installer tripped and fell on it. So at the end of the day the lead called his manager John had him on speaker and discussed what happened and he was supposedly writing this down and again the crew team member took photos of the window. I asked how long will it take for replacement and mgr on the phone said 2 to 3 weeks. Ok, heard nothing from WSH for a month and get a call last week saying vendor rejecting order and need to have mgr John come out to measure window. Ok this becoming a pain. Mgr scheduled to come out 10am.
NO SHOW and its 1040 and I have things to do so when I don't get a call or communication from the MANAGER that he's running late that's rude poor customer service and I just lost my respect for this company. Mgr calls me at 10 45 saying I'm here and I just let him have it on the phone cause I was gone already.
So my 5 star review I made on home advisor will change to a 2 because of this. Issue still not resolved. The ladies in the office are nice said mgr will be off for a week and he is the only one that can come.
Moral of story don't review a company until all is done. Review the punctuality and work.
I emailed the owner BJ on LinkedIn and I hope he replies back.

Completely and totally offended my by assuming I did not know what I want. Also talked down to me and tried to push me into having their staff come to my home and inspect without even allowing me to tell him what I am looking for. I do not need to do business with a company that does not respect me.

Needless to say, they are not going to work for me.

My master shower installation was a better experience than I had anticipated. As professional installers, Angie and Nazim were effecient, totally accurate in their asessment of the areas to repair, and master craftsmen for the instellation. They left the area clean, & were very polite. I am very pleased with every aspect of this project.

Robert and Paul came to my home to make a final adjustment to my door that was installed a couple of weeks ago. Robert and Paul came and did a wonderful job real professionals. After they finished I was pleasant pleased and my wife was elated with the job. I recommend this company for any of your Door and Windows they are real prfessionals.
