What a rip off
Got a quote for a walk in tub. The advertisement on TV said they were not charging for installation and giving 18 months financing. After 90 minutes with a very unprofessional salesman the quote was $29000. I found a company called best buy walk in tubs from Texas and am purchasing from them.

Called to ask about replacing tub and shower. Was put on hold. When I told him what I wanted he asked if I was the only name on the deed ? Very strange and frankly rude question. When I asked about setting up appointment after sale date expired, he again put me on hold. When he picked up again, calling me by the wrong name I told him he just lost a sale and hung up.Yesterday I get a confirmation email for an appointment on Monday . An appointment I never made and under the circumstances would not have scheduled. Deceptive business practice as well as being invasive.

West Shore installed a shower and it looks beautiful, BUT, because the shower floor is acrylic, it is very slippery. Also, the water doesn't drain very well. I have had water stay on floor for 48 hours. Contacted them several times and was told that is the way the floors are. When the salesman And the installer came, I asked if it was slippery, they both said no. I also inquired about the drainage and assured that the installer would adjust floor so that it would drain. I have been conversing with West Shore for over a month now and to no avail. I was told to buy a bath mat and a squeegee to keep floor dry and non-slip. I will NEVER use or recommend this company.

Regarding the installation time, please refer to the attached "what happens next" documentThis document clearly shows that *** *** agreed to an 8-week installation time frameWe completed the job in less than weeks. Regarding the materials: Because the customer ordered a soap dish,
two grab bars, corner shelving, and a mounted shower rod, we used plywood rather than dry wall for structural integrityScrewing these objects into drywall is not a permanent solution because the wear and tear will eventually lead to these products working their way out of the drywallThe plywood gives us something to fully anchor the shelves, soap dish, grab bars, and shower rod intoThe plywood is much more expensive than drywall, so we cannot issue a credit based on cost of materials. Regarding the "Dinner for Two" gift card: We mailed the gift card out in June, but we're happy to send another one to you and will do so immediately. Thanks!Tom A***West Shore

Shower and bath enclosures are not sound proof and the expectation of performance should not be measured against that benchmark. In addition to many conversations with this customer, we have spent considerable time reviewing with our both Manufacturer and other Dealers through the country this noise issue and have not been able to find similar cases in bath remodeling (one case in new construction). As this issue is not previously familiar to us and other dealers have also not experienced a similar issue, we can only logically determine that the construction of this home has a preexisting and unique acoustical dynamic which contributes to this customer’s issue. We do however keep trying to satisfy this customer and have made three separate visits to the customer’s home to look for an amicable solution, that while outside the scope of our contract, reflect our commitment to collectively address this customer’s issue. We have one additional suggestion that we would be willing to discuss with the customer offline. Tom A***

**and *** ***, We're saddened that you feel unsatisfied with your experience so far with West ShoreAs you know, we have been in continuous dialogue with you both from the time of your initial consultation all the way through the time that you filed the above complaint with the RevDex.comWe would like to reiterate our goal of completing the work for you, with the styles and options you like, for a price you feel comfortable withHowever, we do feel to address several issues. On Tuesday, February 2nd, we agreed a contract for the sale and installation of two entry door systems and windows in your homeThis contract included a three day right to rescission period, which ended Saturday, February 6th.On Wednesday, February 3rd, *** *** called Gerald and left a voicemail requesting a breakdown in costs for the total project. On Thursday, February 4th, Gerald sent an itemized breakdown in cost to *** *** for the projectminutes later *** *** called Gerald and asked him to remove the doors from the project, but to "go ahead and place the order on the windows." Gerald went out to the ***'s home that same afternoon to amend the original contract reflecting the wishes of the *** to remove the doors from the project, which was signed by both Cheryl and Gary.On Monday, February 8th, at 8:00am, West Shore's finance department processed the ***'s credit card for 10% of the purchase price and started the order process, as the rescission period had closedAt 9:00am *** *** called Gerald and requested that he "put the order on hold" because they weren't sure if they wanted full screens or half screensGerald called back after his meeting and let *** *** know in a voicemail that the screen decision wouldn't influence the production of the windows and that our service manager would be reaching out to schedule their pre-installation inspection in the near futureAt 2:30pm, *** *** called Gerald back and left a voicemail asking him to cancel the order completely. At this point, Gerald escalated the call to his supervisor, Jason, because the contract was now out of the rescission period, the financing underwritten, and the order processedJason reached out to the *** and scheduled to visit with them on February 10th to discuss options which would bring the costs down on the project. On Wednesday, February 10th, Jason visited the *** residence and had a candid discussion with them, asking if this was solely an issue of price, or if anything else was concerning them*** reiterated that this was just about pricingAt this point, Jason went back to the office to discuss options with the company owner on how they could lower the price of the project. On Thursday, February 11th, Jason called the *** to set up a meeting to discuss the solutions that he had come up with, but the *** weren't willing to hear the options and ceased communications with West ShoreThe point that we're trying to stress is that West Shore had been in constant communication with **and *** *** throughout the process and, in stark contrast to the levied stance of "high-pressure sales tactics," we were and still are more than willing to offer as much assistance as possible, even this late in the gameWe'd like to resolve this issue amicably, but are unable to do so if the other party isn't willing to reciprocate communication

We purchased a Bay window from West Shore and our sales representative (Walter) was amazing Unfortunately everything from there went south The representative scheduled to follow him to measure completely didn't show up, or even callI had to phone the company myself Our window was installed with holes in the screens along with them not fitting properly, and chips/scratches in the wood This is supposedly a premium product?!?! I had to be the one to call at 3pm the next day since nobody would address this I spoke to the VP of operations David P*** while he has been courteous saying they will replace the window, it will take a full month to come inMore time taking off work again...I almost forget to mention the caulking they used is all smeared on our brand-new back splash I am so dissatisfied with this company, as I was on my second round of interviews for a management position, I declined to move forward for obvious reasons

Mrand Mrs***,At this point it seems like we've reached an impasseOur suggestion would be to have a mutually agreed upon inspector come out to take a look at the work that was performed along with the floor joist in question and we'll take it from there based on his reportIf this is something that you'd like to pursue with us please let us know and we will get the ball rolling. Thanks!Tom A***

TIm and Hunter did a great job installing our doors. We will highly recommend West Shore Home to our friends.

Roland, Shawn, Cory, and Zack did good work installing my new windows and shower update. Each one of these men did an outstanding job and their professionalism and workmanship was superior. I look forward to being able to have them back in the future to to more updates to my home with the West Shore Home quality. C. Layton

Good morning, [redacted]I have escalated your case to our Director of Sales, and he would like to come out to visit your home and speak to you directly to resolve your case. When would be a great time for him to do so? Tom Al[redacted] Marketing StrategistDirect: ([redacted]

Mr. & Mrs. [redacted],I sincerely apologize for the situation you've described, it is totally unacceptable. I have been in contact with two different manufacturers and I would like to send a manager out to your home to present a solution to this issue and give you complete satisfaction and peace...

of mind. We would like to offer you a completely new bay window from a different manufacturer and have it installed at a date and time that works best for both of you. If you could please give me a call at ###-###-#### I will be happy to get the ball rolling. Again, I apologize for the stress but I can assure you that we will make this more than right. I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience. Tom A[redacted]

Our Director of Operations, David S[redacted], has been in repeated contact with the customer to find solutions to the issues listed below. I'm not sure it's fair for this complaint to be posted, as we are currently working on finding these solutions. I will update once we have found a proper...

solution.

**. and [redacted]. [redacted], On February 4th, you requested to remove the doors from your order, which was completed without hesitation. Amending an order doesn't change the rescission period. When you asked to cancel the rest of the order on February 9th, the rescission period had closed and work had been started and the financing underwritten. Just to comment on the social media reviews which were cherry picked to portray us badly, we have provided links below to our online reviews. Our mission is and always has been bringing happiness to every home and we're thrilled that the communities in which we work agree with us. That's why we have hugely favorable scores:[redacted]With all of that being said, we will cancel your job out of rescission, eat the administrative, financing, and production costs associated with it, and refund the deposit. We will need you to sign the cancellation form, which can be completed at our office or your home.  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me either at [redacted]@westshorehome.com or ###-###-####
