Thank you for reaching outI will gladly reply back to this complaint because it did itch me the way the complainer’s husband treated me that Monday 04/10/2017. The Complainer ***e Zehaf stopped by my office (I am the owner) on Saturday 04/08/Before her were clients not In total
that Saturday were clientsYes I do have my month baby with me at the officeThis is the first client minded the baby presence among my more than clients thought that she showed up with her mother in law and kids to prepare her taxes!I asked for the requested supporting documents before not after we started and she promised to stop by Monday to drop them offI accepted because she has been waiting already for almost hours so I can spare her another waiting time on MondayI completed the federal tax return including itemizing deductions and two states tax return NY and NJ, it took about an hour to prepare her taxesEverything was done and only missing the Electronic submission till I receive the requested documents. I got paid for my services $100.I gave her copy of her prepared tax return and explained that I am required to gather and keep copies of their civil, income documents and school records to proof kids’ presence in USA in compliance with IRS requirementsAs a preparer I am fined by IRS $each return I fail to keep records. On Mondaythe husband stopped by early in the morning like at 9am, frustrated and mad at me since the 1st glance , he argued in a very disrespectful manner, why I’ve asked for their documents while no one asked for them, not even the IRS and that he called the IRS that morning and they told him NO, I replied that it could not be true, IRS could not tell him NO because they requested them from us as A MUSTHe then asked in the same disrespectful tone “am I lying then?”, I nodded and replied YES, then I printed and handled him the IRS form 8867, which is the preparer Due Diligence and requirements, I highlighted for him the part requesting gathering the documents from tax preparer, at that point he asked me to go ahead and submit without documentation at his own risk I refused of course because that is against IRS rulesHe then in an order tone demanded his full refund not 50/like she claimed! I refused to refund him his money and told him that my job was done, my service was rendered I only needed to submit after I keep copies of their docsSince he refused I could not submit.I cannot refund them $because she paid me after she agreed on amount refunded and she was satisfied with the outcomeThe argument was about the IRS requirement for documents not over the service of the tax preparation!Best.Meriem B***

*** was not present with her husband, if we go in the matter of he said and she said we will not finish.Lets put it this way, the service was rendered ,the fees were paid and they are non refundable.Complainer should be careful on putting words on my mouth that did not happen, witnesses present.feel free to seek legal channel were more proof and evidence will be submitted at my end Meriem B***

I am rejecting this response because since she did not send the income tax electronically she is not suppose to keep full $100 of service.  Her service was incomplete.  In addition, my husband was not disrespectful she was and she accused him of lying which was unprofessional from her side!
