First of all the charge air cooler is in fact made of aluminium, but the a/c condenser IS NOTThis condenser is made of the same materials as the radiatorI totally understand that there was only a one year warranty on this product but these guys not being able to make a product not to last as long as the OEM one did is absurdThere product should of at least lasted half the time the OEM one didAs far as becoming belligerent and abusive with their office staff and him is another one of their liesIf becoming belligerent and abusive by asking them why they said the bt lies in their first response to this claim is belligerent and abusive then I guess I wasSince they think that is abusive I think ***, when returning my phone call, hanging up on me and before doing so telling me to have a good life because I turned them into the Revdex.com is a bit abusiveI will NEVER do business with this company in the future! Gentlemen,In response to the alleged complaint from *** ***,First of all the last conversation the cus***er had with our shop manager was that he would contact the warranty department and get and get back to him with an answer.According to the time on the complaint
it was no more than an hour from leaving our shop that this complaint was filed, and without ever having received any determination from our warranty department on resolving the matterI consider this to be quite abusiveThis radiator was originally purchased on 2/27/13,This radiator is for a *** and is copper and brass.(Current model truck radiators are made from aluminum and plastic tanks)We did not install this radiator. On 8/7/the cus***er brought the truck back stating that the tank was leaking. After inspection it was determined that the tank was cracked.(This is usually an indication of improper installation.)The tank was replaced under warranty however; the cus***er did not have the radiator physically out of the truck therefore we had to make the repair on the vehicle. Our warranty does not cover labor on this type of radiator therefore the labor charge of $Per hour for hours was agreed to and paidHad the cus***er removed the radiator and just brought it in to us there would be no labor charge. On 4/27/the cus***er arrived at our shop with his truck stating that the radiator was leaking and demanded a replacement.Upon close evaluation of the radiator it was determined that due to excessive build up of corrosive elements (i.eroad salt etc) that the core had become corroded. This past winter had greater than snow/ice conditions and therefore more than ever greater care needed to be exercised in removing the corrosive contaminants from vehicles. It is common practice for owners of trucks especially with copper and brass radiators to periodically rinse off the radiator during the winter months to avoid such an excessive corrosion build up.This was obviously not done in this case and therefore caused the copper brass part of the radiator core to fail. The warranty for this type of radiator is parts only for one year from date of purchase. The exclusions are simply physical damage and corrosion. The warranty on this particular radiator expired on 2/27/14.Under the circumstances this radiator is out of warranty

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
First of all the Leak that was discovered on the radiator in August had nothing to do with improper installation. When I took the truck to them for the leak Their guys stated it was poor workmanship on their end due to the fact that the radiator was leaking at a joint that was not soldered correctly at the time of manufacturing. As for the corrosion issue I've never heard such bogus information. If this be the case every radiator in the northern U.S. would be junk. The radiator that was in the truck prior to this one was in the tractor for for 13 years. If the things he's stating would corrode this radiator they sold me I'm pretty sure this one wouldn't of lasted 13 years. Since they are making suggestions why this radiator failed I'd like to make one as well. Mine conclusion is that they sold my a radiator that was made with inferior metals. The reason I'm stating this is there is a air to air charge cooler for the turbo that sits in front of the radiator along with my A/C condenser and I have no problems with either one of these. Also the stated that I'm being abusive in filing this claim so soon. The reason the claim was filed in the manner it was is because they told me that the owner was out of town and wasn't responding to their emails to him. They never once stated they had to get a hold of their warranty division. With this all in the light now I'm glad I started the claim A.S.A.P. because I think they are giving me the run around. I am a independent one truck operation and the more they drag their feet in handling this problem the longer I'm not making any money.

4/23/14Gentlemen,In response to the recent communication from [redacted] I would like to submit the following:This customer’s truck is a model year 2000 and as such requires a copper and brass radiator. (Current model years are aluminum and plastic) These metals will react to the salt elements used on the roadways in wintertime. The charge air cooler and air conditioner condenser are made of aluminum, and do not react in the same manner. In order for a warranty of any type to be effective it has to specify what it covers and for a specific period. This radiator was warranted free of manufacturer’s defects for a period of one year from date of sale, 2/27/13 and therefore concluded on 2/27/14.The exclusions to the warranty are physical damage and corrosion.I believe that we have more than demonstrated our willingness to make accommodations under this warranty by the fact that wereplaced a tank on 8/7/13 (that may or may not have been a manufacturer defect.)On 4/21/14 the customer arrived at our shop with his truck stating that the radiator was leaking and demanded a replacement.Without waiting for a definitive answer from us he filed a claim with the Revdex.com.Subsequently we attempted to contact the customer and convey the information in a civil manner to him that this was due to corrosion and that in and of itself is not covered by the warranty, along with the fact that the warranty had expired on 2/17/14.
At this point he became quite belligerent and verbally abusive along with using foul language to our office personnel and myself.
There really is nothing more that we can do on this matter.

Review: I Purchased a radiator on February 27, 2013 from West Side Radiator Works, LLC. I had to take the truck back to them with the new radiator installed on August 7, 2013 because it was leaking. They replaced the left tank on the radiator and charged me labor. The labor cost was $180.20. Now here it is April and I have another leak in the radiator. Took the truck to them this morning and they told me that the road solution the state uses on the roads to treat for snow and ice is eating my radiator away. I don't think that this is the case. I have two other vehicles I drive on the roads in the winter and no radiator problems with either vehicle.Desired Settlement: I'd like to have a complete refund of the radiator and the labor charges for the repair in August.
