Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I would also like to add as to why I do not accept this offer. When I went to the shop the first time(12/02/14) it was for the noise at the front right passenger side. The determination by mechanic that day within 15 mins of looking at my car was that it was my tires causing the noise. Why not continue to check out other areas of the wheel, the wheel bearings, struts etc? Upon doing some research I am told that this can be tested/seen when the wheels are off the vehicle. Is this true? And then give a diagnosis. The trial and error technique does not work well with me because it costs me money. When the mechanic took me into the shop and told me about the tires being the problem he did not show me any chopped edges or any cupping as  you stated. If he took me to the garage to talk to me about the problem wouldn't that of been shown to me? I can tell you none of those things you mentioned was told to me by the mechanic. On my second visit(12/18/14) to address the noise issue again, I did ask if there was some type of machine/computer that could of found out the real problem other than just letting the mechanic eye ball it and decide. Like I noted before that the right front tire was bought within 2 weeks of taking the car into the shop here so I know that the wear on it was not that bad. As far as the left driver side tire, it was recommended to me that if one tire gets replaced the opposite one should be too to even it out. So I was following the word of the mechanic because he is the one that knows best because I have no experience in this area. I have no way to tell you how much tread is/was on the tires now so I can't debate the real fact of them being worn out and I wasn't shown that when I was in the garage.  So after getting the news it wasn't the tires I did asked Travis that second time at the shop12/18/14) if there was another way to find out the real problem with my car. He knew I had a issue with everything that went on. He could have recommended that I get those "new" tires off and have the real problem fixed. Which he did not offer anything like that to me. He just said there was nothing more that could be done now and that was it I paid bill for another service and left. I would like to also know why I was given a two wheel alignment at no charge?  You state that it was because when I came in the second time I still heard the noise? I would like to address this too.  I am going to stay with my original solution to this problem so I can go to another shop and get this taken care of. I do not feel comfortable taking my vehicle in their shop anymore so I would not accept any further work done by them or their associates unless I was given no other choice to resolve this matter.  It is unfortunate that some time has passed and to this day it's still an issue and I hope that there is a resolution in the near future. Thank you,

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  All I seen was a invoice from before and a check written out to me. If that is the resolution I am satisfied with that. I was still wondering though on that the incident happened when another mechanic struck my car in the shop. I haven't seen any response to that. Other than that I appreciate the Revdex.com and I appreciate that WST is doing what a business should do when they are in the wrong. I would hope there isn't any other issues, but understand why there would be. I am looking forward to looking past this and moving on. Thank you
Regards,

As noted in the first response, we replaced the tire that
was cupping and noisy. We would not replace any tire that did not need to be
replaced. We should of brought the vehicle back into the shop when the noise
was still heard that day, since replacing the tires only took care of part of
the problem. As stated previously, we would be willing to refund the
installation cost of $44.90.

RE: Complaint ID #[redacted]
The customer brought the vehicle in with a rubbing noise. At
that time we detected an unevenly worn tire, which can often create the same
noises as a worn wheel bearing.  Tires
that cause this noise usually have chopped edges or cupping...

present which is
what the tech would have seen or felt to recommend tire replacement.  At that time we performed a two wheel
alignment at no charge to the customer. Since the customer noted that on the
second test drive there was still a noise, the vehicle would have had multiple
issues. At that time, we should of brought the vehicle back in the garage for
further inspection, as we only eliminated part of the problem.  When the customer returned a week later, we
were able to detect a problem with the wheel bearing. If the customer wanted
the tires removed immediately, we could of done so. Now six months later there
are worn tires in play. We are willing to credit all tire installation costs in
the amount of $44.90 and help with the wheel bearing replacement cost. The original
estimate was $301.28. We would be willing to reduce the replacement cost of the
wheel bearing $100.   We are sorry the
experience at our shop was definitely not up to the customer’s expectations.

Review: On 12/02/14 I took my 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix into West Side Tire and Auto Center Inc here in Oshkosh to get serviced.I informed them that I had a rubbing noise in the front right side of the vehicle.Approximately where the right front tire is. I then rode along with the mechanic to tell him about the noise so he could hear it himself. While on the test ride the mechanic told me it could be a couple things, but he'd have to look at it in the shop to know for sure. So we return to the shop and I waited in the waiting area for about 15mins when the mechanic came back and said that it was the tires. I asked if he was sure and he said yes. He then told me to decide on what tires I want put on. So I did and he put 2 new tires on. He stated you can't put just 1 tire on because the balance would be out if you only have 1 new tire on. Let it be noted that on the front right tire( which is the tire they said is causing the noise was a used, but I just bought at Jankes in Menasha and he said it was a good used tire) After the work was done and the tires were put on we went on another test ride after the tires were put on you could still hear a noise. The mechanic said it's because of new tires. We returned to the shop and I paid the bill and left. After about a week I still noticed the noise coming from the right front tire. The sound was that of a rubbing noise. It seemed to have gotten louder since I was at the shop on 12/02/14. I then called and made an appointment for 12/17/14 at 3p.m., but when I arrived they said they didn't have me scheduled so I scheduled for next day 12/18/14. The next day I went in so they could see why it was still making the noise. Same mechanic looked at it again. He then determined it was the front wheel bearing. I then ask one of the managers how this could happen? If there was a way to test this prior to telling me I needed new tires 2 weeks ago. He said yes there is a way that they have a computer. I asked why then was I told I need new tires. He said nothing he could do.Desired Settlement: I had to pay $258.17 for the tires, disposal, wheel balance,A tire protection plan(which I didn't agree to), and a reset of the TPMS(which I do not know what that is). I paid for all this to find out it wasn't the tires, but the wheel bearings. This is something the manager I talked to on 12/18/14 basically said that there is a way to find out, but the mechanic choose not to use it, but determined it was the tires. I do have a bit more info to add, but not enough space(I did get a discountFORalig
