The homeowners where onsite and present to the speaker phone conversation where the tech at the manufacturer (for a valve that was provided by the homeowner) told us that it was not a valve that could be reversed due to the hot and cold pipes that were plumbed backwards existing in the home The only other option was to open the ceiling and uncross the pipes that had been improperly plumbed when the house was constructedWest Sound Plumbing did this for a very affordable costThe homeowner found paperwork several days later that showed a possible way to due the repair differently and got an answer from the manufacturer that it could be done without changing the pipesThe work had already been done and had CORRECTED an existing problem We called the manufacturer to verify their complaint but they yet Again told us that it was not possible to change the cartridge and that what we did was the correct fixYet again the homeowners did not agree and the talked to a manager that stated it could be fixed by spinning the cartridgeI then contacted the manager and she confirmed thisAt this point the homeowners wanted a refund but due to bad information from the company that supplied them the parts we are not willing to do that at this timeTheir issue should be with the manufacturer who gave us bad information

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: West Sound Plumbing has made several incorrect or incomplete statements in their reply to my initial complaint but I don't want to rehash those Yes, I was in the room when the plumbing company called the manufacturer and asked the wrong question and thus received the wrong answer But I certainly didn't know enough to question the plumbing company and their private conversation with the manufacturerThey are the "experts" Most importantly and unequivocally, if the plumbing company had just READ THE VALVE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS which I personally gave them before they started the job, they could have installed the valve correctly When they ran into a problem, they STILL didn't read the instructions where it was clearly stated what the easy solution was Instead, they told us we needed additional work in our garage This was unnecessary work They should not charge us for unnecessary work.Sincerely, [redacted]

We are sorry that we do not see eye to eye on this matterWe attempted to make the cartridge switch over while onsite (which is done often with other cartridges as well) and when it did not work we did the next logical thing and called the manufacturerWe were then given incorrect information unknowingly and proceeded to the next option and gave the customer the choice for us to do the work or notWe were told to go ahead and repaired an existing problemThe manufacturer even offered the homeowner some complimentary items for the inconvenience but those were not acceptedAt this point we feel that we are trying to be bullied into returning the cost of the repair as the credit card company dispute sided in our favor as wellAny future contact will now be directed to our attorney to follow up with
