West Texas Landscaping & Lawn Maintenance Reviews (%countItem)

We agreed for work to be done, they did not finish the work.
They changed the agreed upon terms and used different quiality of materials and ours.
On 22 June we contacted the company for yard work on our yard. They agreed on the work for $225 on the 23d. They were supposed to start on the 25th but didn't start until the 26th. They repeatedly showed up late on the 26tg and 27th. The job was only supposed to take one day, which is what we agreed upon. Their workers started doing work that we assumed was part of the original quote, but we were told later that it was extra, after the work had already been started. We agreed and were assured that the work would be done that day. The timing is important because we are moving and had to have this done in time for new renters in the house and we could move on. The extra day incurred extra costs to us for food and lodging, as we were supposed to be staying with my family and instead we had to sleep on the floor to wait for them to finish. When they did eventually finish, they were not there when we told them we would be there for payment. We also noted that the work was not finished to standard. There was missing mulch and plastic protective layer for weeds on the back by the peach tree. We now will have to stay another day and finish the job. The work area was left in a disarray with screening rocks all over the street, driveway and sidewalk which we will have to clean up. The utilized our plastic sheeting and never discounted the price accordingly. In kind, I informed them that I would only pay them an additional $150 and not $250. They were not happy and stated that they would put a lien against our house and hung up the phone. They never offered to finish the work or come up with something else.
There were never any recipes for money paid for the first half, and there was never a contract in the beginning covering the scope of work.

Desired Outcome

That we only pay the $150 and not the $250.
