Our experience with Westbrook Remodeling:
On October 1, we signed an agreement with this company to remodel two bedrooms and two bathroomsThis is the company that advertises "our attention to detail is second to none." The tentative start date was October 27thThe actual start date was November 13thAfter a month into the process, we found out that our chosen bathroom cabinets were never orderedAn "attention to detail" that slipped their mindThey were finally ordered and delivered a month laterAfter being installed we discovered that what was ordered for our master bedroom were the wrong cabinets (no drawers)Another failure of "attention to detail"Westbrook said there was nothing they could do but would make and install the missing drawersSince we felt we had no choice, we proceeded on that pathThat took our remodeling process another two monthsAfter the cabinets were finished they did look nice but not sure if the duration was worth it
The painters were sloppy and rarely cleaned their work areas after each dayWould not consider their work representative of a professionalThey also broke one of my wife's favorite lampsI would recommend, even though their work was in the interior, that you cover your entire outside landscaping or you may be disappointed in the paint, grout, and other residue you findAnother "attention to detail" they missed
If this company offers to lay tile flooring, RUN in the other directionAfter they finished tiling our master bedroom, it resembled the Rocky MountainsAnother missed "attention to detail." They had to rip up half our bedroom floor and start overOf course they didn't consider to place curtains or temporary partitions to block the dust from going throughout the houseAnother missed "attention to detail." The tile now looks better but they didn't fulfill their promise to re-grout the areas that were deficient in coveringWe were very disappointed in that Another missed "attention to detail." They also failed to give us our emergency keys to the bed and bathrooms after installing door knobs

I had much the same experience as the other reviewer Jay Signed papers for kitchen, bathroom remodeling and two sliders to be replaced in June of The job was completed November ( more or less) A kitchen island still was not completed but frankly I was so exhausted with these people that I settled the bill anyway just to be done with them I called the owner once and I never saw him again other than when he came into my car garage to remove some equipment for another job I was not living in the house at the time so they used my garage to cram full of their stuff After I moved in that fall, it was constant aggravation with their work habits Work half a day an leave, not show up or show up and leave for parts and never be seen again that day The project manager Jeff did an excellent job on what he built for me-- a beautiful tile shower and vanity It was obvious that the crew was spread very thin, they needed more people and that the owner was very out of touch with anything other than the collection of money When the PM was on the job site the site was cleaned, when he wasnt the workmen made a God awful mess slopping some type of glue all over the bathtub, toilet a picture and wall After they left I replaced the toilet, but the only way to fix the tub slops is to refinish the tub They painted the kitchen cabinets but I thought they looked terrible, so showed them how to put a glaze on them and they turned out really nice Like most clients I did add some extras (which I paid for) but if there was a problem with this I was not aware of it?
I would not hire them again, I would not recommend them What is regretful is that Jeff the Project Manager was a very talented tile man and carpenter Due to poor upper management with the scheduling/hiring and lack of daily involvement from the Owner the customer service suffered as did the professional quality of workmanship on projects
The whole business seemed to be managed by the "stamp out forrest fires" approach
The frustration of dealing with their erratic work behavior and having to have some of them return two or three times to just finish something they started was crazy making

I had much the same experience as the other reviewer Jay. Signed papers for kitchen, bathroom remodeling and two sliders to be replaced in June of 2014. The job was completed November 2014 ( more or less). A kitchen island still was not completed but frankly I was so exhausted with these people that I settled the bill anyway just to be done with them. I called the owner once and I never saw him again other than when he came into my 2 car garage to remove some equipment for another job. I was not living in the house at the time so they used my garage to cram full of their stuff. After I moved in that fall, it was constant aggravation with their work habits. Work half a day an leave, not show up or show up and leave for parts and never be seen again that day. The project manager Jeff did an excellent job on what he built for me-- a beautiful tile shower and vanity. The whole business seemed to be managed by the "stamp out forrest fires" approach.

The frustration of dealing with their erratic work behavior and having to have some of them return two or three times to just finish something they started was crazy making.

Our experience with Westbrook Remodeling:

On October 1, 2014 we signed an agreement with this company to remodel two bedrooms and two bathrooms. This is the company that advertises "our attention to detail is second to none." The tentative start date was October 27th. The actual start date was November 13th. After a month into the process, we found out that our chosen bathroom cabinets were never ordered. An "attention to detail" that slipped their mind. They were finally ordered and delivered a month later. After being installed we discovered that what was ordered for our master bedroom were the wrong cabinets (no drawers). Another failure of "attention to detail". Westbrook said there was nothing they could do but would make and install the missing drawers. Since we felt we had no choice, we proceeded on that path. That took our remodeling process another two months. After the cabinets were finished they did look nice but not sure if the duration was worth it.

The painters were sloppy and rarely cleaned their work areas after each day. Would not consider their work representative of a professional. They also broke one of my wife's favorite lamps. I would recommend, even though their work was in the interior, that you cover your entire outside landscaping or you may be disappointed in the paint, grout, and other residue you find. Another "attention to detail" they missed.

If this company offers to lay tile flooring, RUN in the other direction. After they finished tiling our master bedroom, it resembled the Rocky Mountains. Another missed "attention to detail." They had to rip up half our bedroom floor and start over. Of course they didn't consider to place curtains or temporary partitions to block the dust from going throughout the house. Another missed "attention to detail." The tile now looks better but they didn't fulfill their promise to re-grout the areas that were deficient in covering. We were very disappointed in that. Another missed "attention to detail." They also failed to give us our emergency keys to the bed and bathrooms after installing door knobs.

The project was finally finished on March 6, 2015, turning a two month project or less, into four. The company owner of Westbrook Remodeling, Ron P[redacted], never stopped by to check the pace of the project or quality of work, until the last week of the job. He never came by to see how many times we had to sleep on air mattresses on the living room floor or how often we pleaded for them to give us more work time since I know they were giving other projects more consideration than ours. Mr. P[redacted] came by the last week and twice mentioned he was looking to get paid. This was probably the only reason he came by at the end. He stated this project is going on too long . NO KIDDING. That wasn't our fault. So when it came to money, he did "pay attention to details." We paid him according to our contract and made the final payment at the end. We always made ourselves available when work was scheduled and on many occasions they didn't show up. We were never offered any financial considerations for our "pain and suffering".

I have to give Mr. P[redacted] credit. The last thing he told me was the best advice he could offer. From his own mouth he said - and this is no lie - "NEXT TIME CHOOSE A DIFFERENT CONTRACTOR." A little late for us but not for you.
