Westbury Duke

Review: dear sirs back in aug.of 2012 my wife and I seen an advertisement (WD westbury duke) on tv it explained how they could help those in finantial trouble,we gave them a call and decided this would work out better then going bankrupt. the program went good till we got a letter of disengagement from them oct. 2013 stateing they had not collected enough funds to settle the remaining accounts therfore makeing me responceable for the remaining debt due to remaining creditors, this was disturbing news to my wife and I, we had know idea who we still owed, the letter also said that notification was being sent to the remaining creditors, we tried to contact them with no return calls back to us, the letter had a [redacted] and a phone# [redacted] and my wife called and got an answer that we would be responcable for the creditors we owed, within a few days we were sent letters from Law offices burton & associates ([redacted] I borrowed to pay them off $5500.00 to settle that account, next was another letter from same Law office that I had to make arrangments for payments for 3 yrs. @ $ 161.61 per month. If I had the cash I could had settled this at lump sum $4413.59. I just retired last March, I am a disabled Viet-Nam vetand liveing on a very slim income, I don't want sympathy, I know we got taken as the contract was that they would have us dept free in 3 yrs.. if they pay the lump sum 4413.59 I this would make my life a lot better. Maybe they or someone has a better idea. Thank youDesired Settlement: seeing I paid WD $374.00 a month for 3 yrs. now having to pay two other creditors $11000 ( $5500 and 3yr. payments of $162.61 = $5854) totals almost $25000 I was not that far in dept from the beginning, I don't see a dept reduction here at all, I think i,m entilted to ask them to pay the lump sum of 4413.59 to the law office stated above,

Review: Westbury Duke was supposed to be paying off a credit card I had in 2010 and now I have found out that the creditor never received any payments while I was getting statements that said they were from westbury duke. Now my credit report is negativelying affected.Desired Settlement: Payment to the creditor so my credit report is fixed.
